Been a long while since I’ve posted here, but I’ll break the ice and throw my WASR into the mix. It’s not as special as many of your guys’ imports, but I’ve done my best to snazz it up and make it a respectable shooter. Hope you’re all having a good one.

Ammo at $0.36 on wiki arms. Vympel and Tula...

I don't need it, but I need it! I DO NEED a sight tool if anyone has one they'd part with?
Planning to use the WASR for whitetails this year again.

I have considered that so many times over the years, just never thought I needed Robski's book... yet apparently I do!

I posted awhile back about a rifle I purchased from a former coworker. Wasn't sure if the brand or make was any good but the price of $300.00 with 1,000 rounds figured I couldn't go wrong:notsure:
    Functions fine.20211024_195348.jpg 20211024_195430.jpg

Finally got my Saiga back from getting the bullet guide added. I have the parts for a rear conversion, except for what to paint the receiver after taking off the baseplate. Would like to leave the rest of the finish alone, so what would y'all recommend, if you have done this sort of thing before?

Nice Maadi! They are Egyptian made and imported during pre ban and through the 90's in a Sporter config. Yours appears to be a pre ban but someone might have done a conversion on it. Got more pics of the barrel assembly and the markings all over it?

Thanks for that info. I already bagged it back up but I do recall that when I cleaned it, everything that had a number on it all numbers matched. Pretty sure the original purchaser bought it many years ago. I think he paid $250.00 but might have been less.
I just wanted it for collection of sorts, recently purchased a SKS too.

Sounds like a preban :) Might be able to tell by the trunnion. Usually its marked 19XX where XX is the Egyptian numbers for the date.

I picked up this unused Arsenal Sam7R at Turners on consignment for $1100 last year literally the day before the lockdown. Previous owner never shot it or even played with as it didn't have the typical wear line from the safety and the bolt was super clean, it even had the rubber cover on the charging handle.

Story according to the sales guy is that this guy and his buddy came into the store and they both bought the exact same AK, some time later the guys wife ended up cheating on him with his buddy and eventually they got divorced and he sold most of his stuff for financial reasons. Don't know if that story is true but I could care less as I scored big time as these were going for around $1400-1500 at that time, if you could actually even find one. I actually saw it when I was browsing one day and decided not buy it that day, I had a big itch for a new rifle a week later and told myself that if it was still for sale I would buy it that day, I called the store and to my surprise, it was still available. I was filing out the paperwork 20 mins after I called lmao.
