    Same crap everyone else got
I bought one years ago for a friend. Armscor I think made it. Cost was around $150 maybe? The short amount of times I shot it, it shot fine but has zero relation to an AK minus the outer appearance.

I just bought one from Chiappa an hour ago. As with all things right now, the price was outrageous.

Once it ships and everything clears, I'll report back and review it here.

7.62x39 isn't really hard to get yet is it? Still pretty widely available online.

No. Plenty from Yugoslavia, Serbia, Bosnia, Herzegovnia.

finally got my Saiga 223 rear converted Memorial day weekend. It's a 20" barrel though, so I was wondering if that is more rare than the standard length or not. Resale value would be cool to keep, but not if I've already dropped it due to the conversion.

Yikes. Whats the process for pickup if you order and ship ammo to an FFL? You pay a transfer fee on ammo?

Bizarre to think about that derpy process for FFL ammo transfers CA cooked up.

I would buy Serbian PPU over Russian ammo any day.

I've never tried that before. I only buy from the stores. I am not too sure on the rules. I have to pick up the rifle from an FFL, so I'll ask them.

You can't buy any ammo without a recent background check from a gun purchase though.

I don't know the rarity of the 16" over the 20" but in my experience, if the conversion was done correctly/well it adds around $200 to the value of the gun depending on the trigger used and rear stock ($200 being the G2/base ALG and fixed Magpul stock +$$$ if you go with the upgraded parts) but in these last two years the values have gone a little bonkers on the Saigas, especially the 5.45x39... the .223 though converted is worth a lot more than it was two years ago same with the .308, 12's are coming down again though.

Zhukov stock and handguard, ALG AKT trigger. I don't really want to sell it unless I just get a crap ton for it;) as it is a really nice gun. I just don't know if I should go ahead and have it chopped, put a combo block, etc.

There's no military rifle setup like a saiga and 20" barrel. I would chop and convert to a 101. Noticing more and more conversion parts popping up lately. With ComblocMarket getting nuked and GAFS going private, the AK files is the last place left for good stuff

I wouldn't sell it, especially in that caliber. The value of the gun is only going to rise even if converted and barrel chopped if done with a reputable shop/person. In Arizona that gun converted with your parts is about $1800, two-three years ago only 1k-1100. And say you got that gun unconverted like 10 years ago you probably only paid like $400.

    Mlok?

That's a Hungarian AMD65 handguard. Looks like mlok but the dimensions are off
