Ugh, just drop your diffs alright. Couldn't care less. Some cannot be helped or just have to defend the pointless hours they spent under their trucks doing this crap

I tore through 4 CV boots in two years before droping the front diff. I have torn exactly zero boots in the 7 years since...

You can say rotate, you can say drop, you can say whatever you want. What it does, is lessen the CV angle while still leaving room to run an IFS Skid. Over time it will save boots. It you wheel hard and need that extra 1/2" clearance not to deadline your truck...well don't do it

This is a case of everyone has an opinion and there's not a while hell of alot of evidence either way. It's basically personal preference. But @dustin19d has a pretty damn strong case...

Judge the fins for yourself. A lot of people just spread information they heard on the internet and have no actual experience with it. :gossip:

Don't focus on the camera angles, focus on the change in the actual cv boot.

Just drop it already and be done, It does help more than the boots. Less strain on the bearing or bushing.

So many people complain about lubrication. The front diff drop works enough to save your cv boots. I've ran one for 5 years on my 4runner with no issues. I've yet to see a failure due to the drop.

If the angle was an issue than it would be an issue driving on inclines.

Both positions on the diff drop mod can be argued well, but at the end of the day it's personal preference. IMHO there's really not an overwhelming amount of evidence to decide one way or another. The angles don't change that much. It would be nice to have a before and after that are taken the exact same way

I'm of the opinion that there is enough manufacturing variance on these trucks that you aren't going to be able to base your decision on what someone else has done.

My CV angles are fine with a 3in lift and I don't tear CV boots (probably will now for saying that).

Same thing with the ECGS bushing. I needed it, but many people are fine without it and don't get the vibes after lift.

I have a 3" lift as well and am fine without it. I need the ECGS bushing, but allowing some time to pass from when I installed the lift since I have to take some of it apart just to get to the damn thing

That's a very fair assessment and I wish others shared the same mentality.
