ahh this is a weird comparison, not similar at all. You guys are ignoring the biggest difference... the $15k+ difference?

Never driven the gx460 but I've heard amazing things about it. I wish I could afford it, even if I could, I think the premium gas would be a deal breaker.

How does it handle off road?

I fill up once a month, so the extra $7 a tank won’t kill me.

19g tank so that translates to a 37 cent spread from regular to premium. That's pretty realistic. If the difference between regular & premium is the deciding factor for you then you're shopping out of your budget in the first place, before fuel even comes into play. This coming from someone that daily drives a vehicle that takes premium.

Edit to add: me and the girlfriend are looking to sell her 03 470 & my 05 Taco & upgrade to an 18+ 460. The Volt will be kept for around town...for now.

I have never driven a 460 but I looked closely. In the end I wanted MT and a truck bed.

also I liked being able to change the head unit in the Tacoma.

lastly for a 460:I would have wanted to change the front bumper for off road use right out of the gate, making the price difference greater.

that said, if it was available with an MT I might have tried to make it work.
