I've got 265s, I've been hun capable withting 3 times now, no complaints. My fuel mileage sucks, but I'm sure 33s are worse.

Unless you are heavily into severe off roading or rock crawling I don’t see the purpose in jacking up your truck and putting huge tires on it. The majority of people I know and talk too seldom take their pretty lifted big tired trucks extreme off roading or rock crawling. Most I think have them because they look cool. Cool is in the eye of the beholder. I use my trucks for highway and getting me into some rough and remote places for hunting, fishing and camping. My stock Tacos (and Tundra) has taken me every place I wanted to go and back. Some pretty rough trails but not extreme. All I’ve put on mine is a winch, some good AT tires, auxiliary lighting and a few other very minor mods. Never had my Taco fail me. If I was totally into off roading then I’d do what ever I needed to do. People who don’t much off road and want to jack up their trucks for what ever reason, that’s great more power to them. I’ll stay pretty much stock and spend all that $$$ on things I can really use like a new shotgun, a South Dakota pheasant hunting trip or a new boat. Not trying to be critical of anyone just throwing out my opinion as I see it.

I miss the fuel economy and power I lost when I added all the weight and load E 33s, but all of that serves a purpose. I'm thinking that buying an extra set of wheels and some 265s on Cragslist for highway trips is the solution.
