Well in a perfect world we could get the 70 here. That is what I really want. Tray back for me and the SUV for my wife. Instead the offerings for the American market are kinda lame. It is like having to choose between different types of shit sandwiches.

Would love a 70 in the aussie spec of a V8 turbo diesel with manual transmission.

I wish I could order the white Pro right now but realistically hoping I can afford the Off Road model. I’ll be trading in my paid off 22 Silverado but that still may not be enough.

Was all set to trade in my ‘11 Sport with 210k miles for a new ‘24. Love the look, the options, the changes, but the back seat … ugh. It’s actually an inch less legroom than the one I have. Guess it’s time for a full-size truck. Just wish the Tundra stacked up better when compared to the F-150 and Ram

Truly curious. Where do you see the Tundra falling short? And is it a meaningful difference that impacts your needs? I really like the looks of the new chevys, but am kinda soured on the big three reliability. Granted, it’s all 2nd hand knowledge or belief.

The new Tundra has had over 10 recalls already. Their decision to ditch the 8cyl and go with a twin turbo was my final “nope”. In my experience, driving on the beach and on the salty roads in the winter destroy anything, but now a twin turbo sucking dust and salt into the engine? Can’t be good. I do tow my boat, and living on a hill forces me to do a lot of pushing the boat uphill while the truck is in reverse. There are lots of reported issues where the engine and transmission overheat in this situation. The Rams 5.7 is a very reliable and proven engine.

Yeah, the truck looks good but still falls short of amenities. My current ‘11 Tacoma has hardly anything despite it being the “fully loaded” version when I got it, so my next truck must have lots of features. The Tundra doesn’t offer what the F-150 or Ram can.

I guess it comes down to preference, but cost for cost, you’ll get more with the big 3 than the Tundra.

Let's just say that my shiny new GMC Sierra AT4 is getting nervous... ;)

There are a bunch of things I really miss about my old Taco, so a Trailhunter build of some sort might be a thing for me.

My stance is simple: Wait at least 3 years till they work out the bugs.

Lol... '23 Tundra owner now that my '17 Taco is gone.
    • Hybrid hp/tq higher than 2.5gen V8. I tow a travel trailer and it's effortless. Not sure where you're seeing this "overheat issue" but WasteBook is about the only source for that.
    • Only thing Tundra doesn't offer is the Ford inverter in their hybrid for the 2.5kw. Wish I had that!
    • Tundra is EXPENSIVE for sure. You can probably get a Ram or Ford cheaper. However, you'll be good friends with your respective service department staff. And this is coming from a Ford guy! (I've been burned in the past by Chrysler dog crap products and will never consider them again)
I wanted an F150 for years but in the end Ford reliability as of late eliminated them from the running. GM will never see a penny out of me ever due to their crap quality either.

I voted with my wallet for the Tundra.

Pricing is about the same on the base models, too bad you can’t get a Ford body on the Tundra chassis. Cause the Tundra is ugly! Had one on my bumper the other day, good god that grill is awful. Think the dude driving was trying to use as an intimidation, tailgated me to no end, sorry bub I don’t like speeding tickets so we are going to what is posted. Don’t like it, go around. :D

Maybe he was trying to stay close to you in the event his truck spun a bearing, you could pull him close to civilization for a tow.
