Who has had past Tacos - Let’s see how you got here

There are days when I miss my 3RZ and 5 speed manual. Traded it for a 2012 DCSB, needed more room.

 

The $900 taco in AZ with no AC. College budget was tight/non-existent. Owned for 3 or 4 years, then got a '06 Corolla, then '13 taco.
Somehow the thing ate a fuel pump every 20k miles. Gas would start leaking out of the weep hole in the bottom. Never figured that out, I replaced it 3 times.

 

I'm not sure of how many of my previous vehicles I have pictures of that are readily findable, but my vehicle ownership path has been:

1976 Volvo 164e sedan -> 1980 Toyota Hilux 2wd short bed 4 speed 20R -> 1997 Ford F250 4x4 6.9L Navistar diesel -> 2001 Dodge Cummins 2500 4x4 6 speed -> 2014 VW Passat TDI -> 2017 Tacoma

A couple of 2000’s here. No pic’s of my ‘89 or ‘82.

 

I bought a used 2001 4Runner with the 3.4L because Taco’s were too pricey. Eventually got my ‘19 TRD Sport.

 

yeah when i was in the market for a first gen taco, the prices were ridiculous so i ended up getting my 93 land cruiser and now a 17 taco.

My 2013.

 

First we had the Gen 1, then the Gen 2, then the 4runner and now the Gen 3. Loved em all.

 

My first Toyota I bought new for $7200.00 cash. 1985 last year for the straight axel, took it home and put a 3" lift and 32" tires and wheels. Then added 3" body lift and 35". I don't have pics of the other 6 I've had.

 

My 2004 trd off-road lost this bad boy due to the body mount rusting away and breaking off the frame luckily insurance paid me out and I got.. my 2019 trd off-road. Access cab love forever.

 

I started out with this 65' chevy i bought off of my dad. it was my daily driver/work truck. Had a 77 suburban for a work truck after that, threw a rod in it. in 2003 i went to buy a tacoma but my credit report said no so the toyota dealership got my in a 2000 Frontier and i drove that until may 2019 when i got my tacoma.

 

After burning through a Hardbody, S-10, and a Ranger, started down the Tacoma path.

First was a 97, only option was the automatic.

175,000 miles, NEVER let me down, needed nothing. When I traded it in, yes, it needed work.

2006 SR5 AC 4x4, was excited to get more room and luxury features like power windows.

in 2017, there was a brief segway to a very embarrassing vehicle from Tacoma standards. Long story, but think half truck/half SUV. It sucked. So in 2017 picked up the Sport.

Besides Gen 3 stuff, difference was the push button start and GPS.

97 and 06 had Roll n' Lock, 2017 went with TruckCoversUSA Tonneau.
