Assholes that key things that they can't steal need an ass whoopin! Makes me want to Put a 600 volt capacitor discharge on the truck and have a tank of water in the bed that releases a puddle all around the truck whenever it's parked. The only thing you might find is a dead asshole holding on to a key!

I just installed something similar in my truck. It's called the Endo Alarm. Here's a short clip of how it works.

You guys that are saying you steal tailgates , are you kidding ? I hope so, but I'm wondering. I thought this was a nice friendly tacoma forum, but if there are tailgate thieves here then there are some real butt lickin' A$$ Holes here and I may revise my opinion of Tacoma owners at least the ones that frequent this forum. Karma's a bitch. Have fun with it when it comes around to getcha. People who have no respect for the vehicles of others should be hung by the balls and then the neck. Adios,

I bought a new one for my truck a year ago but it needs painted. I plan on scrapping my old one. It is dented. I paid $150 for a black primered one.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I had my tailgate( with Back up camera), and my side Tacoma badges stolen. Manassas Park VA is where it happened. I planed on debadging anyway, but they fu#ked up my paint when they did it. My truck is a Supa White 2005. now i replaced it. no backup camera, and now an anti theft device( Tail gate lock mod) has been installed.

Did yo guys notice that the numbers of people who have had their tailgate stolen roughly coincides with the number of people who say they stole a tailgate?

HMM- maybe you guys should give these people their tailgates back!!

Your post was the laugh of the day. Do you honestly think that people would honestly say "I'm going to steal someone else's tailgate?". Can you not tell if someone is being serious or joking? Here at TW we're all about the serious, no one jokes here. Then you must believe everything you read, see, hear on TV, the internet and what other people tell you. I think you need to pull your panties and tampon out of your ass. Now! Is this that sarcasm or was I serious?

    To everyone else,
I had no idea that there was an option for stealing a tailgate. I guess I should be careful since that I have two friends that have the same gen as me. Oh! But two bad they are both black and I'm red.

I had NO idea it was so fast and easy to remove (or steal) the tailgate. It does make me somewhat paranoid now I will admit. It's a good thing I have to go to Walmart in a bit - will be picking up a hose clamp!
