Just hit 33,000 miles on my 2012. Bought it in 2015 with 20,000 miles apparently some guy owned it up north and only used the truck in the winter when it snowed, so it was practically garage kept and not driven hardly for almost 3 years. True story

No they do. I just don’t think you’ll get 17 in trade value or 20 private party. Maybe 13/17 respectively. But report back, prove me wrong.

Iv got an 08 single cab 4x4 I bought in 2014 at 5600 miles. Now in 2018 I'm at just under 38k. Was owned by a old really really rich guy Who I think used it to help a kid move to Washington (from Cali). was registered once and sat in a garage. I called the dealer before they even had It on the lot(got a tip).

I am in a pocket that has unreal resale. No problem. I'd pull up some examples, but the ones with under 150k disappear so fast. Dealership had a 2006 with 128k miles last week and it was listed at $19,919. Plenty of room to negotiate $17k on mine with 80k. My friend that works at a Toyota dealership told me it would be no problem.

Trucks have made a huge jump in value compared to usual. Most importantly the need for practically and quality have increased. The result, Subarus and Tacomas have gained solid demand. Young peoples values are changing. Not always for the best but hey, if you own a Taco your good.

Got $16,500 trade. I could have pressed for another $500 but I was just ready to be done. Plus I got the new one for under invoice which was negotiated before we discussed trade. With 9.4 sales tax, it ended up netting $18,100 for my 05.

Drive the company vehicle home, have a convertible for nice days and a winter/DD. Salt will never touch anything but my DD/sacrificial vehicle. Heck, we got like a 1/16th of an inch of snow the other day and they were dumping salt like it was the Blizzard of 78'.

08 with 47k. Bought it in 2015 with 23k on it. Older lady had it and didn't have a long commute - then had a stroke and the family drove it sparingly for 3 years.
