Who has their truck Paid off?

Well, if you were no longer employed and out on the street, you couldn't borrow against it anyway. You'd have to close it out and use the money as income and take the tax penalty. It's defintely not something to do if your employment situation is unstable. However if you situation is stable, it can be a big help. For my loan, the payment back to the loan was less than the interest I was being charged on the credit cards. Freed up a lot of cash which will be used to pay down other debt.

 

I wish. Hopefully by the end of next year I should.

Paid off my 07 last year, I knew that I would retire this April and didn't want car / house payments. Been Retired almost a month, and it's best job I've ever had!

 

I bought a truck using my home equity loan once, paid it back in a month. Never borrow money unless it is deductible, and even then, try not to. My current Tacoma and Prius were both paid in cash.

 

Mine is paid for. I paid it off 2 weeks ago and I have only owned it since December 2009. Im only at 2,350 miles.

 

Not Me...zero% financing so I am not in a rush!

man i wish i could pay mine off so early. then again i have a "gotta have" issue lol. once i get the four wheeler paid off ill be making some extra payments towards principal on the taco

Im making payments to my dad for mine, 0% interest rate

 

I'm only about 5 months in. I've got a lot of payments left.

 

I haven't made my first payment yet... Well aside from my down payment.

 

My FINAL payment will be made Monday (TODAY!!!)!!!!!!!!! It's about flippin time. 23 months early

 

I bought a used truck so I could do an outright purchase. Watched debts pile up and ruin a family member. I do my best to live debt free.

 

I had some money saved up drawing somewhere around .5% interest......dealer offered 7% or 8% loan for a new truck......(shortly after I bought it Toyota came out with 0% financing)

soooo, I figured I could self finance and save a bundle......

soooo, I just wrote a check for the truck and am making payments to myself....

should have myself paid up in about 2 more months....

(life is much better without car notes)
