    Paid off the day I picked her out and brought her home on May 6, 2010. Dad dropped $27,000 along with a $8,000 trade in for my old truck to get a Magnetic Metallic Gray Double Cab TRD Sport 2010 model.... yyyaaahhhoooooooo....now to just pay every 6 months for insurance and every year for registration! Thanks father...

    Just traded in my paid-off 2002 for a 2009, so the clock restarts for 5 more years. I'll likely have it paid off much earlier than that though. A good trade + good downpayment makes it pretty easy.

    My financial philosophy dictates that I not buy another big-ticket item on credit...ever again! A new house would be my ONLY exception. Why pay someone to use their money. I saved for 6 years...and made a lot of interest in the meanwhile. I passed up a lot of "gotta have" trucks during that time, but ended up getting a truck like I wanted all along. It takes a LOT of discipline but it pays off in the end! Imagine how great it feels to drive off the lot and NEVER have to make a payment! SWEET:yay:
