    Just put the payoff check in the mail. One year to the day after I drove it off the lot! Not bad considering it was a 6-year loan. (And when I signed, I was actually worried I might have trouble coughing up the $220 payments in a bad winter...)

    I did the minimum in January. Every other month, whatever surplus I had went toward mauling that loan. I figured it might take 18 months or 2 years, but this summer turned out to be crazy busy. I thought about relaxing after I got down under $5K but I just got more motivated - like a horse near the stable.

    One year of paying, 20 years of driving - sounds like a plan to me! :bananadance:

    It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
    My old truck was paid off, title in hand..sold it.
    Paid cash for new one! Was under $5G..but still.


    It's a good accomplishment having the title in your hand of a vehicle.
    Now I wish I had more then 1...:eek:

    My truck COULD be paid off at this time, but my interest rate is only 2.9%, so I'd rather have money in my account for now. My truck will definitely be paid off early though...maybe 1-2 more years.

    Yeah my percets at 7.1%, I'm only 19 with almost no credit history so I had to bite the bullet, I wanna check out the credit union in town, see if they'd give me a lown
