Woot! Title in hand. Never fear if you still owe...it could be a Land Rover, which might not even last as long as the payments.

True, I paid cash and they tried to get me to finance or lease, and were visibly frustrated I wouldn't budge on what I wanted and what I was gonna pay. Not only are they losing cash from the loan, I'm sure it's much easier to up sell the vehicle when you're only talking about a "cup of coffee a day".

They tried to tell me I wasn't gonna be happy with the regular cab and needed at least the access cab. I pointed out my regular cab S10 (that I drove for 60,000) and said there was never a problem with that. Oh, and that my wife was gonna be mad that I didn't get a roomier truck, haha, she would have be WAY more mad if I ended up financing the truck so I could get more stuff.

Then they told me I needed an automatic for the wife, nope, she's not gonna drive it, besides if she did, she prefers a manual.

Sure I would have liked a fully loaded DC with a V6 and all the extras, but in the end the only thing I wanted over the S10 I had was 4WD.

One thing I am considering is financing the truck to buy a classic car (I'd get a better rate for the truck as opposed to a classic car) with the idea that properly cared for, a classic car will appreciate in value. But I might just find a project that I can pay cash for and fix it up. Although I've found it's usually cheaper to buy a completed car.
