Who has their truck Paid off?

Good man. Debt sucks. I have a house payment and one cc that I pay off each month. 2008 taught me an important lesson. Be prepared for total collapse.

 

Paid cash 2 days ago, new 2015 V6 SR5 4x4

 

Saved and saved for a new truck. Then decieded on a Tacoma. Paid for it in cash. Weird feeling but nice!!

 

Just paid mine off Friday!!

And paid off the wife's car as well!

 

Oh man it is indeed. I traded in my paid off Chevy for the taco and remembered how much payments suck haha

 

I guess I'm a little different than you. IF a total collapse came, I'd rather be buried in dept (with lots of STUFF). In a total collapse you would be able to trade for other stuff that you would need to live. On the other hand the dept I owed would be worth nothing, same with cash or a piece of paper that says a bank has my cash.

But I agree (specially in LEAN times) dept sucks.

 

Collapse may not have been the right word. 2008/9 represented as close to a collapse as I want to have. Wife and I had a mountain of CC debt that we were planning to pay off someday. Had all of our extra cash tied up in my employer's stock. Company had too much debt; we had too much debt; market crash came and nearly took the company out. Stock went to $0.78/share. Sold half the company and got rid of half of the employees. Luckily I wasn't one of them. Company rebounded in a big way and they we stand-up to those of us that were left. Once we had recovered we paid off everything. Those were some very dark days and all I thought about was making sure all the bills got paid and we kept the house. I don't want to ever do that again.

 

I was debt free till I bought my tacoma... I don't regret it at all, I didn't mind my 25 yr old Hondas but god its nice to have a vehicle I don't have to fix every weekend, or worry if the vital part I need has been discontinued

 

I didn't vote because I didn't apply to any of them.

The truck is paid off. I have the pink in hand and under my name. But, I borrowed the money from my dad so I owe him 15K (truck is worth about 18-19K right now). No interest and payments are deferred until I find a job (just graduated from college).

 

I got mine at 36 months, it's one year old.
If I feel like it I could pay it off anytime.

 

I have an 08 per runner and my wife bought and paid for it before we were even married!

 

Paid in full-took awhile, but I finally made it. Still costing me in mods though. Pics to come

 

I've ordered two more things just today!

 

Mine was paid off before I left the dealer lot.

 

Officially paid off as of this week. Truck was my only debt, so now 100% debt free.

For 6 months or so...until a new truck shows up.

 

Paid cash. It's certainly nice to get to that point in life.

 

Yebber.... think about buying a new one sometimes but every payday I just smile
