I was fortunate enough to buy her straight out with my trade in. No "monthy" for me.

 

All paid off here!

2009 purchased in February 2009. It feels good to not have monthly payments and know that I have bumper to bumper for 7 years and powertrain for LIFE!

Recession....what?



And to think...I find people jobs for a living!

 

Nope. Still owe roughly around 4 years. I hate making payments but after I'm done paying off the Taco the next thing on the list is a house for the family.

 

Got mine used at 14k and paid it straight cash. woot.

 

I have a 2008. I paid off the note last November. I had a $400 monthly payment, but I paid a $1,000 per month most months and once I got it down to about $5,000 I went ahead and paid it off. It is nice to not have a payment.

 

ballers. 4 years to go. For the past 11 years, I've always had a car payment.

Except for about a 3 month span when I paid off my 2nd vehicle. That was nice not having a monthly car payment but sure didnt last long...

 

Does it count if my parents bought it for me???

I got the tacoma after totaling a 2003 Mazda Protege5. Actually ended up getting over KBB value (got $9,800 opposed to $8,000 KBB.) Used it as down payment. Bought a house and got an unexpected $8k tax credit which I also put toward the Tacoma. After making payments for about a year, my CDs were nearing maturity. The interest rates on them were all time low at 3% to renew so I decided to instead pay off the 6% Toyota Loan.

I have to say, it's very nice to actually really own something and have extra $500 a month.

Just got the pink slip from the bank last week!!!

 

wrote a check for all of it the day I bought it. I did the car payment thing in the past with other cars... never again.

That's the way to do it... I want to be there one day. Not paying interests makes life better.

 

Paid it off in November and have been wasting no time (or money) on mods since then

 

I had a paid off truck until last week when Toyota bought back my 99 Taco due to frame rust & I bought my new Toy.....
pretty happy with $182.00 a month though...

 

$535 a month with 4 years to go but its all worth it. Love my truck!

No payment for me. Dave Ramsey is my hero. 26 years old with only a mortgage loan of 14 more years (although it will be paid off waaaay before then!) Debt is normal. Be weird!!!
