Same boat I’m 27. I paid my student loans off then my twin brother’s. Currently on the 10yr house plan. I’m picking up extra freelance jobs like crazy again to help knock it down piece by piece

Sold my house, used some of the proceeds to pay off the 05 yesterday! Except for the new house, we are now debt free!

A lot depends on your personal risk preferences and adversity to debt. I have plenty of equity and bond market exposure and I am extremely debt adverse, so for me it makes sense to pay cash.

I’d rather miss out on some return but have no car payment than be at risk for losing money in the markets and still owing the bank for my truck.

Sold the 2008 4Runner on June 17th for $15,200 and bought the 2010 Tacoma on June 18th for $15,000.00 and paid cash. The 4Runner had been paid off! It's a great feeling... I do miss the 4Runner, it had been a great rig. They are so reliable and only regular maintenance. Pretty amazing cost of ownership on the 4Runner. We bought it in 2012 for $16,500. Aside from mods, only a depreciation of $1300.00.

Since mine was a gift from army dad and has been paid off for a good five years now, I fall into this third category!

Paid mine off... Now things are starting to break. Lol ironic, right! Had to replace evap core, and it didn't get done 100%, so.... That's nagging. Got 100k and got a bunch of maintenance to do on it (breaks, diffs, tires, transmission flush, radiator flush, etc) strongly considered trading in, but I'm gonna keep her til she runs into the ground. Oh, and I'm about to do a lift.

Your evap core went too? Let me guess...

Your A/C was blowing cold on the left vents but warm on the right?

Pretty Much! 2 replaced condensers, replaced A/C clutch, all lines replaced, and both schrader vales replaced in 15 months— At separate times.

Lol, hope all the A/C mess is behind me!
