    Fixed it for ya. ;)

All in good fun. I find myself wondering whether I should mention it or let it go and laugh about it.

Thanks for the offer. I'd think about it if the price was right. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't play MP3 cds.

The CR-V only comes with a crappy little 4 cyclinder. I really wanted her to get the v6 Rav4 just because of how quick that thing is. Then she reminded me that it isn't for me.

Yeah that's my thinking when Jan-Feb roles around and its time to buy the Rav4. If it were for me, I would definitely get the 6... But the wife has no need for it and fuel economy is king at least in one of the vehicles. Currently our Sienna is not that much different from the v6 taco.

    DON'T GET THE 4 CYLINDER RAV4!!!

Not my opinion - fact: the 5 speed 3.5L V6 RAV4 gets BETTER fuel economy than the 4 Cylinder version!!!

I have talked to plenty of 4 cylinder 4WD guys that can confirm this. They average below my wife's 25-26 MPG highway average (V6 Sport 4WD).

It's interesting hearing these reports of the family's second vehicle. My wife drives a '99 CRV and still loves it. My mother-in-law got a Rav4 about the same time and it sucked compared to our CRV. I'm kinda surprised at the favorable comments on the RAv4. I guess I'm out of the loop as to how the two vehicles compare lately. I need to pay off the Tacoma before we look for a second wife car.

I love my wife's RAV4. It is definitely the best investment I have made in years (aside from marrying my wife). The only thing I would change - I would have gotten the Limited instead of the Sport. The limited sits higher, doesn't have the crazy 18" rims, and has lumbar support.

Don't get me wrong, I love my truck, but that RAV4 has paid for itself over and over and over again (and my extended family is jealous). :p

Going back to the roll up cover discussion...I went to their website and it looks like the cover is going to be rain-tight. There is a flap that goes over the top that seals it up.

Sawdust You have a second wife???? How's that working out for you? I can barely keep up with the honey-do list created by one.

Or...maybe Sawdust is Hugh Hefner and he's got a bunch of girlfriends. Hugh, I understand why you have a Tacoma, but why are you going to stick your wife in a Rav4. I think you can afford something a bit nicer.

No water gets in other than right around the tailgate, but thats not from the tonneau, a tailgate seal would take care of it.

This cover has a weatherstrip across the front of the box, and all the way down each side

I looked a ton of soft covers, and this is the best I found by far. The tension system is very neat.

The LE in Access LE stands for Limited Edition. It has two things the other Access covers don't have. One is a latch that engages on both sides, and the other is a tailgate seal (which can be bought separately).

I've got to adjust my tailgate seal. It didn't adhere in a couple of places.

Well, As of this morning I have an Access LE. It was a mess to get (5 weeks in the making) because of a stupid supplier in Houston.

Anyway. It is very nice and very well sealed. It is raining here now, so we will see how water tight it is... :p

Don't buy a Tonneau cover to get better mileage. From my personal experience with my roll up Tonneau cover over the past 1 1/2 yrs. I have not seen any any improvement with the cover rolled up or down. Many places, including mine will say that it will pay itself off with the savings in gas; this is a bunch of bogus advertising. Regardless of the gas mileage, I love my cover. Keeps everything nice and dry and it looks a lot better in my opinion.

Does anybody see an increase of fuel mileage with the cover vs without ?

I don't have any before or after numbers for my 07 Tacoma, as I had the cover sitting in the garage before I even took delivery of the truck, but I did have my 04 for a few months before I got the cover for that, and I saw roughly a Mile per Gallon increase on that truck after I put the cover on.

You should put that in your mods. I was wondering what kind of cover you have...

I still don't see a big difference between the Access LE and the Laredo (besides the Laredo is ultra-slim, which looks awesome on an XR).

Well, mine is already serving its purpose ten-fold. We got a massive amount of rain here in NW San Antonio last night. After driving in heavy traffic and down the interstate for an hour, I opened the tailgate to find a clean and dry bed. :D
