I wonder why... Maybe too much weight for the wimpy four? I will definitely take your advice and research it a bit more, since it will also make me driving it all the more fun.

Hey Mark, I just put the 5100's on the front of the truck with a 1.75 lift. The tires now seem REALLY small (stock 245's).

What size are you wearing in the pics?

I can take some, and post them up next week if you can hang on for that long. I am dog/house sitting for my parents this week and as such do not have my camera, computer or truck here, but I'll get them to you next week if that's cool.

    Regards,

:( Ugh... I was afraid I'd see that someone ordered one of those...

If I were you, I'd send it back while you can. Oh let me list the problems:
    1. LEAKS! Never got it to stop. Seems to come in between the panels somehow so there were water marks all over the rubber mat. As such I never left anything in there over night or during the day. No amount of fixing, tweaking or sealing worked.
    2. passenger side gas strut dead in less than a year. (and I wondered why it didn't lift up properly anymore. )
    3. ALL rivets are STEEL so the rusted within a few weeks. Other parts are aluminum, but rivets are steel. STUPID IMO.
    4. Core material was cardboard (think the crap the layer between batteries on a pallet at Sam's, Costco, etc) later replaced with foam. No idea if it's better, but doesn't give the rivets anything to bite into. (Ones on my strut mounting plates pulled out).
    5. The entire, and I mean ENTIRE, thing is held together with foam tape aside from the few riveted pieces. Even the 2-piece rail system is foam taped! It could've been spot welded, riveted, or even 1 piece but no. It's 2 pieces foam taped so it flexes when you close the cover. I had to drill and rivet mine so it would close properly
    6. rubber seals deteriorated in less than a year. Cracking, crumbling, buckling up, coming off. And this is only NY with 100F max temp, and it didn't drop to -30 like the year before.

Now, after dealing with the nightmare that was BakFlip I've replaced it with a Bestop. I loved HOW the Bakflip worked initially (full access to the bed, hard cover, blah blah blah). The quality and materials are what I hated most. But now I have a canopy that doesn't require me to take a wheel off my compressor and lay it on it's side to fit in the bed. I can just toss whatever I want in there and close the tailgate. And I can fold it down if I REALLY need extra height. Oh, and it's damn near water tight! Only a few drops here and there after several days of hard rain, and none of that from driving.

I really like the lights that you put in the bed. Did you ever do a write up about those?

BTW - it looks like your nerf bars never make it offroad. :p That looks like it hurt.
