Who here is into Martial arts?

I was a varsity high school wrestler for 3 years and practiced but never competed in ju jitsu

 

currently taking hapkido. Just started but some of the techniques are not new. During my time in the Marine Corps I was taught a few of the moves through the MCMAP (Marine Corps Martial Arts Program). Every other day is TKD fitness...... killer

I wanted to originally get into Muay Thai because of my interest in Bokator (Cambodian martial arts) but the MMA gym is just to far.

 

I practice wing Chun. for over 9 years now, been through the system 2 times and am an assistant instructor.

 

body hardening alternatives... hitting your forearms with the other forearms until bruised

or getting a solid stick and hitting/rubbing your shin until they are bruised

 

I've been studying Shaolin Kempo for the last 19 years and hold a 5th degree black belt. Am a certified instructor in my system.

 

Did sparring for the first time.. it was fun... but along with the fun i have some injuries that follow.. LOL nothing major, just annoying if anything

left wrist in pain due to bad punches and didnt tighten my gloves as much as i should have. left shoulder got kick, hurts to raise the arm a bit..

right shin is has a lump... and right instep hurts from over extending it during a kick.

 

a day after sparring.....its going to get nasty pretty quick!
