Leased 2019 Tacoma SR5 3/36K. Not sure if I will keep, although I like. Waiting to see how it tows small teardrop or Airstream RV. My Taco second lease.

On my 2nd lease, first being totaled after 22 months. We need a truck in the family and plan on having kids soon so the new safety features are a big bonus for us. Sucks making payments, but if this truck lasts as long as any other Toyota in our family does then I plan on keeping it for a long while.

I would have to agree with you, I’ve had one for alittle over a week and this is my first truck and like it so far. Leased thinking if I ever wanted more then the SR in 2021 I would get a higher trim. Plus I wanted a long bed because I wasn’t sure on the SB so I grabbed the SR ACLB they had in stock. I’ve asked a couple of users but why did you chose the off-road vs the limited or pro?

I’m sorry to hear that your other truck was totaled, hope everyone was alright. I’ve been asking a few members but why did you choose the offroad vs the limited or pro?

Random question but why did you want out of your dart? My neighbor has one and has had one for awhile now, I think a few years. Sorry to hear about the negative equity, but glad to hear about the upping of your credit score and taco. I hope you enjoy it.

They did not have any limiteds in stock, however it was still out of my price range. The pro was $20k more than my OR.

Yeah I think the pros are alittle high, I would think about going with an OR after my lease ends. I don’t do anything crazy off-road but would like the options if I ever do decide to. Enjoying it so far? Anything ya wish ya knew before getting an off-road? Sorry to hit ya with so many questions.

I got a great deal on my first lease. My new lease is a year newer and has WAY more features than my 17' and they matched my last deal so the payments were already familiar. I already owned an OR and did all my research ahead of time on both so there are no surprises. The only feature I wish I had was the 4x4 capability, but its like caviar where I live. Nobody needs it and its a commodity so they charge $5k more for the extra axel.

lol good question. i actually dont have a particular reason really. I just knew that i wanted a truck and that i wanted it to be capable of doing some light off roading/camping etc. obviously in a perfect world i would love to have the trd pro but just cannot justify that price so i basically went with the next best thing and im totally happy with my decision. I came from a lexus GS350 F sport prior to this and i question why i never got a truck sooner haha its been a ton of fun

I live in the northeast, some people say ya need it others say 2wd will get ya through as long as you’re careful and know what you’re doing. I opted for 4x4 since I would rather be on the safe side with snow and all. It’s sad that they charge so much. Around here they usually don’t mark up the pros(usually) from what I see. I could be wrong if they say msrp but ya walk in and get to the window and see “adjusted market price”. My local dealership has a few limiteds for more then the pro they have on their lot which blows my mind, but I don’t need all that fancy stuff. I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying your off-road, I will have to do some research into the OR and see what it’s all about.

I leased with the intent to buy it out from the start. The terms were great and comparable within a couple hundred $$ to purchasing.

My cousin's brother-in-law leased his 2018 after years of hearing me say now much I loved my Tacoma, and plans to buy it when the lease is up.

OR just comes with front bilstein shocks, a rear locker and standard skid plate, other than that there really aren't any notable differences from other models unless your getting Limited or Pro which by then you get ALOT more.

I would have to agree. I went with an SR because I didn’t want to put any money out of pocket down, and the SR ACLB looked sharp with the SX package. Plus I’ve never owned a truck before, so I figured if I liked it at the end of 3 years I could upgrade to a higher trim like an OR. I came out of a Subaru WRX and am shocked at how nice the Tacoma is to be honest. I would also have to agree with not being able to justify the price for a pro. Maybe one day. Haha.

Your not missing out on much from the OR since a least you have the 4x4. Shocks, wheels, etc... can be added later for a reasonable cost and will be better than the standard OR specs.

I’m not sure if it comes standard on all off roads, but I’m guessing yours comes with MTS and Crawl?
