I have heard recently that there are some apps you can use to stream local games, I will have to try that out thanks!

I’ve wanted to ditch cable but it doesn’t seem to save money in my area. In order to have Amazon, Netflix, Hulu is around $40-45 a month. If I don’t bundle my cable my internet, it goes up to $84.00 a month. Have to have high speed in order for said streaming to work. Only option since spectrum has monopoly outside city limits with only dialup as alternative which can’t even stream a low quality YouTube video. Are your guys internet pricing that much cheaper??

Definitely check it out. I use it to watch baseball. Every game that’s playing that day is available. It has to be at the time of the game for it to show.

Hulu is only that much money if you get the "Live TV" option with it, otherwise I think it's only $6 a month.

We pay $60/month for fiber optic internet where I live, little more expensive than some places but it's extremely fast and reliable.

Yeah it's getting expensive having to go to the local pub or bar to watch the games I want to see lol...the money I save in that alone will pay for streaming services.

We pay $59.99 per month for internet. I just called and talked to the promotions department. I had to do a 2 year agreement to have that amount. They try to say that you have to bundle to be cheaper here. Not true. I’m in Virginia Beach.

The internet pricing is where they have me by the short and curlys! It’s only $44.95 bundled. When I lived in city limits there was another high speed company to keep the price down.

    Hell yeah!

Best HD to get is OTA. Football hasn’t been the same for me...

I had the best set up when I had a cottage on coastal MA. OTA stations from MH, NH and ME. Streamed what we wanted. This was when MS had Media Center that had a really nice interface for recording OTA.

Now I live in the sticks and can’t get anything over the air and am stuck w Spectrum for crappy cable service that’s mitigated with Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming.

yeah that makes sense, I'm sure it really depends on where you live. Here in CA bundle options can be pricey

Use this site to see what you can get...
    https://antennaweb.org/

70 miles might not be a problem depending on terrain and the height of the antenna..

Same boat here. I guess that’s the price we pay to not have deal with people all day everyday. It is nice to be able to shoot guns, build big ass fires, hunt etc.

I cut cable 3 years ago. I upgraded my internet package to 500mb upload / 500mb download and never looked back.

    I use:

    Netflix
    Amazon Prime
Android Box (HD Movies, Showtime, Popcorn Time for movies and TV shows) and (Mobdro and other apps for live channels)

I mainly watch movies and TV series, but I can even stream the pay-per-view events on these apps as well.

We have HD antennas on each TV and get plenty of channels and Amazon Prime for movies once in a blue moon. Whenever I travel and stay in a hotel with cable I’m reminded why we cut it out. All those channels and never anything to watch.

In Monrovia the whole town (or at least most of it) is wired for fiber optic through Giggle Fiber, just have to sign up for it and get the right router for it
