Believe me, I hated them ridiculous password requirements and CBTs myself. :) I was forced to this new AFSC (3D0X3) after the 3D merger, I wanted to stay as an operator (3D0X2). My job now is more like the policy enforcer when it comes to cyber/network security.

Hey, but AF finally authorized limited access to social networking sites since last month but still no porn. Haha!

X2. There are LTC's out there. I could see doubt for O-9's (and obviously O-10's) assuming it just some kid thinking he's cool, but O-5 are making enough money to mod their trucks. I'd think the higher income individuals would be more likely to be involved with a community like this.

It's cool to see so many service members on the site! I'm just in ROTC now (U.S. Army) but eventually I'll be somebody :)

It'll come up wayyyy too fast many enjoy your time in school. I just pinned on O-2 myself!

And no, I do not fly. I do, however, ensure that the pilots have a nice surface to land on.

If it helps, the Navy cats refer to their ranks as "rates." Which simply put means they replace the Petty Officer portion of the rank with their job field. (As I understand it) I.E. A Hospital Corpsman who is an E-4 (PO3) is referred to as an HM3 or Hospital Man Class 3. PO2= HM2, CPO=HMC, etc.

Just hit my 3 yr mark and putting in my officer pkg for the Corps in Sept. Aiming to snag up an air contract for Cobras. Got to get that run time down, though. Months worth of work for seconds off my time. :(

our rank and rate are somewhat synonymous, it's confusing

this link, kind of explains it
    http://www.navy.mil/navydata/navy_legacy_hr.asp?id=260

The only thing simple about the Navy is there are a few fields:
    Admin/Medical/Dental, Engineering, Aviation, Construction

actually, the Navy uses these to classify ratings too
trying to make it simple..there are 4 basic fields and they fall into one of the categories

that's why i love the fact that the AF uses the generic ranks structure, but then has the AFSC, like the Army MOS to distinguish WTF people do. AFSCs also distinguish skill levels in said career field

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .

I was in the Navy (E1-E4) and then USMC (O1-O2) and I was confused on the Navy's ranks/ratings too.

However, my biggest problem in the Navy (as enlisted) was wearing those "scratchy & itchy" wool dress blues on a hot spring days (before summer uniform change to "whites").
