Pics of her!!! The book Pinheads and Patriots. Maybe an MP3 player and how about a walmart calling card or a card that can be recharged with money over the phone from a credit card....and a must is ask her to go the grocery store or the pharmacy section and have her send yhou some "CHAFING RELIEF POWDER GEL" by Monistat. Yesssss guys and girls I know where the girls put it on their bodies but when it gets hot over there and your sweating in those places that are unmentionable....this stuff is a god send. Oh yeah tell her to make sure it's fragrance free. Don't want the bad guys smelling you coming there way and I did/have used it.

any special kind of dip you need. very limited choice in theatre. i loved getting jerky from my wife, homemade or store bought. if you have a laptop out there a game or 2 for it. pic of her! (rememtioned because its a must) i got a pillow shipped out because mine was basicaly a cotton ball inside a T-shirt.
if you don't like body poweder, they also have a body stick, like deoderant that does the same thing. (i just use deoderant, works the same)

books are great and whatever you're into to keep you occupied.
good luck and come back safe!

    .

That is a good military salary ... especially when the "Moose Bucks" are at par.

When I lived in PQ ... I think that I remember "Moose Bucks" as low as 65 cents US ...

I have a friend who is an E9, retired, (Command Sergeant Major) a Ranger in the Army during the Viet Nam conflict. 'Tho I've never been in the military, I would have followed him into hell and back (Yes, we would have gotten back).

I once asked him about the nicknames for the various ranks, including 2d Lt., which is what I would have come in as had I served. My friend is very polite and did not want to tell me, but eventually I coaxed it out of him: "Sh*thead."

What I thought most amusing was what E9's called E8's: "green weenies."

    He drives a Tundra.

My understanding is that, at least in the Army, an E9 in all practicality shares the rank of his general officer, i.e., an E9 serving under a major general 'out ranks (in practical terms) a full Col.

To an extent, but the csm/sgm must show respect to the officer. He/she doesnt really share the rank, but they do out rank by position to other e-9's.

Where does the CW5 Rank and did you know they're fewer W5's in the Army than CSM or SGM?
