    NCO's may be the "back bone" of the Marine Corps. But as a grunt squad leader I can tell you that the boots with the SAW's and 240's are the muscle!!! :infantry:

    yall do realize that if yall hover over his AF logo that it says, "pilot"??:rolleyes:

    AF first sergeant is more of a job, not a rank. any e-7 through e-9 can be a first sergeant. they babysit the squadron troops and get them from jail, handle financial issues, morale issues, etc

    back on topic, i'm e-5 NC ANG hopefully making e-6 after July and going to take my AFOQT before I finish my BBA. if i do go officer, it will be comm only

    I never had the pleasure of serving on a Trident....and it took me a while to get used to urinals that were not made of stainless steel when I got to my first ship! :confused: I was only in Pearl once....on the way back from a Gulf deployment on a big deck amphib....and it was about this time of year and rained every day.....sure not what a farm boy from Vermont thought that "Paradise" was supposed to be like.:rolleyes: But I'm sure it's gotta be better than the 12 degrees we had this morning!
    I work at EB in Groton now....and have since I retired in 2001. Once in a while we send crews out there for specific jobs.
