Got out as an E5 but if I toughed it out another month or so I would have been an E6. Got a phone call from my command while on terminal leave saying that I advanced and if I wanted to come back I could. I was in the Corrections Officer Academy at the time. I told them to pack sand... :D Respectfully of course... :)

So I never read this entire thread (just about 5 pages).

Who's top dog? I saw some O5's... any birds or stars hanging about?

Speaking of stars, I read on page 3 or 4 about how few flag officers are in the USCG. About 3 weeks ago I turned the corner in my hospital, barely stopped from bumping into an old guy in a blue jacket. Mumbled excuse me, hugged a wall so he could pass... and saw 3 stars on his Coastie collar.

    Should have tried going invisible.

I did my Loadmaster School at LRAFB, all my classes were with Airmen. Out of the 12 people in my class, 4 of us were Marines, 8 Airmen. Let's play the guessing game on who held the top 4 grades in the class :)
