Doing the Day Shift. The Spirit of Christmas is what you feel, not where you are. I'll make up for lost time after the shift.

I have a great respect for the officers and staff that have to run the correctional facilities during the holidays. I see this first hand now. Medical, food, supervision, and everything else you could think of must go on regardless of the holiday. My hat is off to them during the holidays. Not only do they have to work, it's not exactly a great environment to be in. Inmates are quite sad and depressed this time of year. Families of inmates miss their loved ones, and wish they hadn't made the decisions they did. This is a very hard time for everyone working in corrections, inmates, and families of both.

4pm - midnight this evening and back again at 8am. Shitty turnaround but I work for a luxury hotel. I'll be sleeping in one of the suites with a balcony, fireplace and ultra-masseur therapeutic jet tub and will help myself to a full hot breakfast in the morning.

    Happy holidays fellas
