Two time Tacoma owner here, had a 93 for 6 years (2000-2006) and then I sold it to my cousin when I joined the army. Drove a Jeep Wrangler when I was in the army (6-12) and then I traded that in for a Nissan Maxima. Hated the maxima (great car, not my style) but I couldn’t afford to do anything about it. Suffered through that for about 6 years before I finally got back into a Tacoma, which was just a few months ago. Now I’m driving a 2013 crewcab trd with 76k on the odometer, it’s a whole lot different than my 93 but WOW have they upgraded these things. I’m definitely a fan of the 2nd gen and once I run this one into the ground (hopefully at least 6-8 years down the road) I’ll see if the 3rd gen is just as much as an eye opener as this one has been.

Names Danny, Carolina boy that moved north of the mason Dixon about (you guessed it) 6 years ago, found this site while trying to google a problem with a master window switch housing. Look forward to tapping into some resources here as I’ve always just used the book to work on my vehicles. Thanks for accepting me and I’ll throw a picture of the truck up here, ain’t did nothin to it other than some new threads.

Now here’s my damned luck, I’m at work today and a lady comes in “do you drive the white Toyota Tacoma outside?” Well yes I do “ok my husband rear ended it” I went out and it ripped their bumper off completely. On the bright side my Reese hitch was on and that’s what they hit, I’ve got a real small gap (less than an 1/8th of an inch) in spacing from the right side of the bumper to the left, no frame damage and nothing to the tow plate/assembly under the bumper, not even a scratch as they literally just ran into my hitch at about 4 mph. They jacked their Suzuki up pretty good, helped the guy tear his rear bumper off, and I filed a claim against his insurance. Had it been my old 94 Sierra I wouldn’t have cared but the Tacoma is sacred. Plan on using the money for a brush guard or a cold air intake.

Pir897, S. Carolina, near Chester/Fort Mill, he had progressive and they've been good so far, had to submit pictures and videos through an app which was frustrating but apart from some minor bumper spacing, it seems solid. Told them I'd do the repair myself.....hope that means I get a new brush guard, just sayin.
