I HATE the balls hanging crap. It's very dirtbagish in my opinion. Why the hell would some dude want guys balls hanging from his truck? Go park it in the trailer park where it belongs.

Driving to work this morning a Dodge Ram passed me and I had to take a couple of pics. Sorry they suck, I took them with my cell phone.
The pics are a little blurry and dark, but they are of lit up truck nuts.

That is hosed! Rather than lighted, I think they should all be made of steel and hung lower, so sparks fly from 'em!

I usually drive around with the rubber toyota emblem cause my dog would hit his head on the trailer hitch more times than I can count. Left it in after I moved with a trailer and on the way home on Thanksgiving somebody wasn't paying attention in 30-40mph traffic and rear ended me. Not hard, didn't hear anything crack, just a thud. It was pretty obviously their fault, it wasn't very hard, and pulling over and stopping on the side of the road would have just made traffic worse. I waved them off, they flashed their brights, we kept going.

Couldn't even find a paint scuff on my trailer hitch, their plastic honda probably didn't hold up as well but they were still rolling. Trailer hitch has stayed in since then. I always have a recovery strap in my truck too so it skips a step when I need to use it.

Funny thing is I always joked with my wife about getting rear ended in traffic so insurance could buy me an offroad rear bumper and when it finally happened there wasn't any damage:rolleyes:

It may help in a very minor collision but I have seen frames get destroyed because someone left their receiver in and got rear ended. That extra foot sticking out there equals alot of leverage when someone gets on the brakes, it drives the receiver down and teepees your frame and on these trucks cracks the bed.. Good luck with that.

    'Truck Nuts' are ridiculous.

That vault thing would be pretty cool if it were secure and sturdy, except, don't you need a key to open it? That kind of defeats the purpose.

Some douche in a 350z rear ended me in my old FX4 and it had a trailor hitch on it and it went inside his engine bay. I took no damage from it and since then i keep one on for something like that to happen :D

Trailer ball stays in all the time. It's hilarious to see someone that is not familiar with it to walk around the back of the truck and bang their shin. Let the rain dance begin!

I keep mine behind the seat. One time I saw a guy smack his shins on one in a parking lot. The guy then proceded to take the hitch out and beat the hell out of the car that owned it. And finaly threw it through the windshield

I usually have the ball(s) in my receiver. :D

But seriously, I'd rather have someone run into the hitch than the bumper/tailgate.

Ok, the first part is perfectly understandable. The second part is a different story. If you have to do this then you aren't a skilled enough driver and shouldn't be driving, certainly not with a damn ball hooked up.
