Who makes replacement glass for Leer toppers ?

Read some posts here at TW .
tried FB market place , e bay and Amazon .
If you know of where I can try . let me know .

Thats on the drivers side rear. Got in a fight with a rock from the lawn mower . The rock won

 

When I reached out to leer directly, they told me that I needed to contact a leer dealer in my area to purchase a replacement. I am not sure of aftermarket options, but im definitely interested in what you find as I need to replace one of mine as well

 

I sent e mail to Leer . They have not responded yet .

It's flat glass go to a glass shop and see if you can get it cut.

 

Glass shops can cut panes to size-match glass panes for non-standard 1800s/early1900s woodframe windows. If you bring the truck to them they can make accurate measurements.

But consider plexiglass instead of cuts-you-when-broken glass, my advice. If you do not like the resulting heat/cold transfer you at least have a template for real glass to make that next replacement easier.

 

I had a piece of sliding side window glass replaced back around 2008 and it was less than 200$. The leer dealer should be able to handle that easily

 

One panel from my flip down front glass broke, I was told I need to replace the whole frame from Leer... I am going to try the Plexiglass/ acrylic route

 

From Leer they will only sell the complete window frame and All never just the glass.

Liability issues who can say?? It can`t hurt to ask The great White North could be different then the USA.

Plexiglass seems to be the Go to repair.

I've broken a couple back windows on my toppers. Leer and ARE get their windows from the same place. Can't remember the name...something with a "Star" in it. The company makes windows for RVs as well. They won't sell to you directly. I tried. It was really frustrating. Had to order an ARE window from my dealer and pay out the a$$. If you can get a glass shop to just do the glass, I say go for it. Otherwise, you're in for a whole frame and everything so the dealer can pop it in quickly and charge you not only for the window but an install fee as well. Been there like 3 times now.
