Love camping, but I think I am over the cot style of beds. Not much usable space because of the frame (I have a larger size one as well), as well as not very comfortable for side sleeping.

I love the versatility of being able to put thing under them, but perhaps I have not found a good cot. I use a Teton sports cot.

Are these no companies that make a truly durable air mattress? ie Multiple layers and heavy duty or multiple sealed seams?

I know air mattresses are a catch 22 thing.. but someone has to make a better one for camping, and I'm not talking about the floor style mattress, I'm talking about a true blow up style that are like 16+ inches tall.

    Thanks

Have you looked at Exped megamat mine is pretty comfy. REI is running their coupon right now so you could probably get a deal on it along with the ability to return it

We have had good luck with the “Enterplex” line from Amazon...have the full for both of us and just spent a week camping across Oregon with the Gazzelle T-4 it was very nice...have the twin for solo trips now after enjoying the larger full ...both are 16” high, have built in pumps for inflation and deflation seem very well built...
