See if you can find a gently used or new canadian model, they come with heated seats and dual climate control stock from factory.( not an upgrade) then you dont have to worry about bsm, rcta, and moonroof. (Is optional though)

That is correct they are plastic the bsm does not work on metal that's why ford has the blind spots in their tail lights

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
This was a bad move by Toyota and a good move by Ford. My brother in law's f150 has them in the tail lights, so if he changes bumpers, it doesn't matter.

It's ok, no one modifies Tacomas so they won't notice...I'm not bitter

That's the specific reason why I didn't buy premium and tech although the sun roof would be nice, it wasn't worth it from a mods point of view

Just built a rear plate bumper for my dads new 2016 (had to due to rear end collision). The bsm is ??? back up sensors? we just drilled 3/4" holes where the sensors would go and that worked great. Fit right in snug

How does a rear bumper effect these? I didn't look but isn't that sensor in the mirror itself?

It isn't a problem man, I love my moon roof. When the weather is nice I love to put down all my windows and slide the sun roof back while blasting the radio. Lots of fun, wouldn't be the same without the moonroof.

The sensor isn't in the mirror its behind the rear bumper and it uses radar to see if other vehicles are in your blind spot. This radar doesn't go through metal

I sat in a Taco with a moon roof at the TX State Fair last year, and I really didn't like the lack of headroom. I like moon roofs a lot, but wouldn't get one in the Taco because of that.

Yeah, taller people don't fit as well in them. I'm like 5'10" and mine is pretty close.

    Yes
Nope, powder coating requires an electric current to be run through the object which is what makes the powder adhere to the item and then it is baked at 400 degrees. Plastic will not conduct electricity and can not be baked at 400 degrees, you could spray a 2 part catalyzed paint onto plastic or a ceramic paint but actually powder coat it...that's a negative on the approach pattern ghost rider.

I'm sorry but you're incorrect. Plastic can be powder coated. My powder coater actually does it. It can be done. Can also PC wood, composites and even glass.

Remember the dude who went off-roading with his moonroof open and it got loaded with sand in the rails, then he was wondering if the dealer would clean it under warranty?

    Ahhh, good times
