Or you could go " FULLY FUNCTIONAL " just like the second gen taco . They claim up to 58 horsepower gain. Those proven gains were on the 2nd gen with the 4 liter engine mind you .The inlet on the factory scewp is much larger on the 2nd gen in comparison to the 3rd gen . As incredible as this may seem , they claim the torque values almost double from the stock values @ 70 mph . Screw the snorkel !! They claim the air is forced into the intake similar to a forced induction Supercharger creating up to 7 PSI of boost using a boost gauge and and AF meter. Any moisture content introduced through the skewp simply gets used for cooling .
Havnt seen gains on the 3rd gen 3.5 V6 for proof ??? One of you 3rd gen guyz need to do this and post up a fresh dyno .
A light bar is cool , but a FULLY FUNCTIONAL hood scoop is a sweet an easy proven HP gain

Too many lights. I like the hood scoop left alone. Headlight, fog light, ditch light and the raptor lights are good enough.

Should you, can you, connect them so the light bar only comes on with the high beams automatically? Or should they be connected so the light bar comes on automatically with the low beams?

I don't generally dislike the "raptor" lights or any ambient style lights, but a light bar in your hood that will no doubt be improperly aimed and give off way too much flood when your low beams are on which is grounds for a throat punch.

    Chill tf out, you accessorizers.

Yall's tacoma's look like bedazzled jeans and an affliction tribal shirt.

Doubt it you want water all over your engine bay where all your electrical stuff is. If someone made something where air goes in and water stays out, by all means I would go with that option. ;)

Well, that's assuming most people will wade water that high or that a sequential downfall will be enough to do so, but good point. So it's basically just a featureless feature. I agree, it does look nice, but if it's pointless, then doesn't it look dumb? I dunno... All I know is the lightbar has taken this too far and it's now a dollar store special no matter how much that light bar costs... which, btw, you have also let water into your engine bay by doing, haha ;)

Yea... whatever. Not my truck. I just don't want to be blinded and I clearly have an opinion on the matter. But whatever you do, just be considerate of others on the road and own that shit like @Tacospike is. This dude actually made me consider the spikes just with his convincing commitment to them ;)

No water goes in with the light bar. Possibly just from the 2 holes I made for the bolts but took extra precaution and put some silicone around them. Also I never use my light bars or ditch lights on the road. Strictly for offroad use. Cool feature about the scoop light bar is no one knows is there until you turn it on ;)

I like it OP. It looks cool.

Ignore the haters. They probably have a lift, oversized mud tires, and all kinds of other doo dads on a truck they use to drive to the mall.

    Now that's a legitimate use for a scoop, otherwise it's called a skewp:rofl:

However 58hp gain? pure BS. only with a compressor.
