I hear you, but there are other options. In my neck of the woods every third Tacoma is sporting yet another pro grill. It is simply played out. I just don't want to shell out shekels to be a part of the monotony.

Here's a recent thread on a grill you won't see every other time you pull up to a stop light.

Judging by interest, I think the grill is going to be a success. Hopefully @watkins303 is, and in fact already appears to be, addressing the TSS.

This is my fake grille with the raptor lights. No complaints at all looks like the real one. Just had to screw the Toyota plate on, no need for any 3m tape.

Not sure what issues he's run into, but mine has worked out very well, no complaints at all it fit perfect. Way better than the chrome grille Toyota provides, and I saved I bunch of money.

Got mine from @runnin4tacos. Happy with it. Bought OEM garnish and it looks good.

My TSS has had issues since I installed it. Also, the screws that come with it are not big enough to attached the "toyota" badge on, so I had to go to the hardware store to get bigger screws. Same goes for the garnish, the sensor does not fit well on it and I had to get larger screws and file down one of the sides in order to put the metal supports on so I can mount the sensor. The entire grill also feels pretty lose when mounted on the truck.

I have a theory that the people who hate on Pro grills, all have or had a Pro grill and are a) angry that they paid full price for an OEM, and b) truly thought they were the only ones who would think of doing that.

Alternatively, c) they are neither a or b, however, they are people who troll other threads saying they'd never buy a 3rd gen because (and only because) of the ugly grill.

I definitely agree with the screws being too short, luckily I had some laying around.

I just finished installing my Taco Garage grille. The fit is good and the textured plastic looks nice and matches the rest of the trim on my TRD OR. There are a couple mold blemishes that you can barely see on top of the grille near the surround. I was surprised the first “T” and “A” letters are all grey rather than having a black background like the rest of the letters. This is shown on the website but I didn’t realize it until the grille was in hand.

For $140 I’m impressed. That being said, I’m kind of wishing I would have just bought the OEM one during the 40% off sale. Here are a couple pics for you. Ignore the bugs (I need to wash it today). Let me know if you have any other questions.

Agreed. I'll have to see if it actually bothers me over time. I don't think it will.
