Anyone care to wager how many >$10K modded rigs actually go overlanding? The term overlanding its self is an overused fad word. Most people would be better off taking a stock truck and throwing a ground tent and some other gear in to the back and....you know...actually going outside of the city limits. Spending a few $100 in gas and actually going on an adventure. A stock OR with stock tires is more than capable of overlanding as-is.

Some people around here are just as guilty of "accessorizing" as a bunch of shopaholic women (or perhaps BMW GS "Adventurers" for those in to motorcycles)

Note: I know that there are a fair share of people on here with scratches on their ski-plates and rock rails. Legit off-roaders. Fair amount of mall crawlers though too:mudding:

I know someone on MUD, who took his skids and sliders and scratched them up on his driveway. He also has bottles of mud spray. He does this, when he meets us for our 200 series Joshua Tree adventure.

Because within the first 5 minutes, we knew he never went off road (nothing wrong with that, but why pretend).

Just like we have Dentist Harley Riders who think they all belong to the Hells Angeles, we have plenty of TW/Mud "overlanders" with lumber jack beards, spending 25K prepping for the end of the world, when all they go to is Starbucks and Trader Joes.

Yupp, some people's trucks are a little too clean. Personally, I'm saving up for some new tires (and property tax :( ) before I feel confident enough to get into some real trouble.

Yes we do have an upside down button on the POS, but you might as well just order a iced latte cause that's literally what it is after we reverse the order.
Nov.1, new and previous holiday drinks are coming :)

Then you would be a normal person, and not a lumberjack, hipster, TW Tacoma owner ;)

Bought my truck on 03/07/17 and I’ve put over $10k into it (all labor was was my own, except mounting/balancing tires and alignment).

My point being that it’s easy to spend a ton of money on these trucks. Unless you keep track of what you spend, you won’t even realize how much you’ve actually spent.

And if you’re paying someone else to install mods, it’ll add up really fast.

No its called people complaining and me having to remake their orders again because they failed to read and at Starbucks we take "The customer is always right" to new levels.

If I had to take a regular coffee and I couldn't lament at the barista for making my order wrong, I would go to a regular coffee shop. Since the order at Starbucks is harder to comprehend to the laymen more than my PhD dissertation, I feel morally superior going and ordering there. ;)

Came for the GS jokes and was not disappointed.

I wish I could post a couple vids from FB of my Duc ST4 (stupidly) doing parts of the OR Gambler 500 a couple years ago. I did get around a JCG and a YJ. I was all puckered trying to miss stones that might puncture my tires while they were picking their way between rocks that could split their diffs.

    Good times.

Rep that Gambler! Hell yeah. I'd love to do that someday. Need to have more than a daily driver before I'm brave enough.
