You have a Taco instead of a Ridgeline. You are already brave. Believe in yourself.

Haha! I was going to monster it this year with my Ural, but it was broken, again. The year with the Duc, I was going to take the Ural also, but I was in a not-at-fault accident with it.

Honestly, I would just take the Taco and do recovery duty if needed. They put together some killer routes. I may next year. We'll see.

You're not familiar with Expedition Portal are you? People build brand new Tacos with the change rattling around under the cushions in their well north of six figure Earthroamers and Unicat Unimogs.

It was a joke. Was hoping you would have gotten it.

Anyways was at Sway in Austin. Was fantastic. Next time I am in town, will buy you a drink.

I've seen a few built 3rd gen 4runners - 15 - 20 years old, selling for nearly $20K. Figured sooner or later the same will happen to newer vehicles.

I suppose the main take-away here is that mods just don't pay?

The mountains versus molehill posts above ring true. My perspective would be, regardless of the size of my wallet and just looking at my personality, there is no way I would put that amount of time and money into something and only keep it a year or two with only 30k on it. 10yrs and 150k would feel better, to me.

Some people enjoy building them but get bored quickly or simply really don't have any interest in actually overloading (whatever that is).

    Okay. There is that. Haha!

Considering what you get, that is a deal for the new owner.

Yeah. I understand that. I was just yelling into the void about my approach. I get attached to things, esp once I made it my own.

I took the Taco through it's first tiny mud hole this weekend and felt the frame touch. I was just smiling and thinking about the years ahead with it.
