i paid 25k for my 2020 2wd 2.7 utlity package access cab. someone rear ended me and it was totaled and i got a check for 38k after spending months waiting for the magical new frame that never appeared. i then bought a 2021 4wd 2.7 utility package for 34k in July 2021. Prices just keep climbing but wages stay stagnant. real nice.

Almost literally, this guy was in my head a lot while I was looking at the 2TR-FE:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOcA6Dp8ZJQ

"Folks, full disclaimer, this is the first time I ever take one of these engines apart because they are that good.
I have been inside every single Toyota engine from the late 90s all the way to today. Never this one, it is that good."

They had to ship the block from Japan IIRC, and had delays during the rebuild because parts weren't actually in stock locally.

    Discusses cost around minute 32.

Driving this engine for 400k miles is
The equivalent of eating plain oatmeal for 40 years. Sure you can do it … but man …

ah, power seats, the missing feature. Maybe it’s part of the 7k package
Along with paint coating. Lol, I luv my gen 3 2.7. She is a little slow but tries 23.5 gpm is good. I had the gen 2 6cyl and didn’t appreciate the get up and go, the gen3 is much larger and a bit boxier , looks like I’ll keep the museum gen 3 2.7 piece
