I can handle 1k for this, recently got a shell and lost my ability to have my toolbox mounted. I'll be waiting for the reviews from testers before I start slicing up my toolbox to make it fit. 12 inches seems like alot of bed space lost, is it just my imagination?

If you're talking about the height, it is pretty tall.

RedArc dual battery system, AluCab canopy, Prinsu rack fore and aft Planned: Mobtown recovery bar and full steel skids, light bar on rack and BD amber fog replacements, ham radio and antennae, SPOD system, 12 gallon water tank integrated with bed drawer system
Is there an access panel to that 'wasted' space along the sides of the bed ? Pretty smart of Decked to make the drawers in a profile that fits their proprietary shaped storage boxes, and not plain old boxes. I'm late to this thread, but happy to test the F out of these drawers and report back to you all. Maybe I'll turn one drawer into a live-well for fish.

Hey Avitaco, that was the actual product you saw. We have already run alpha and beta system tests. Daniel had the real deal in his truck.

Check out the next post here with pricing and few other items as well of interest....

My DIY platform is made with 2x12's, and has 1/2" plywood on top putting it right at 12" tall. I also have a regular height shell, and it's great back there. Still plenty of room for stuff. I generally only have plastic totes back there full of camping gear though, so YMMV

So a cab height shell? Do you have measurements from the top of the storage to the top of the shell?

@rnicholls i have 20.5" of room in the center. At the edge where it starts to slope down, I could fit something 20" tall and 42" wide.

That's really not alot of room.. I'm not even sure I could fit a large cooler back there, and if I could I wouldn't be able to see anything. Wish these Tacoma beds were deeper..

    Appreciate the info man!

Also remember that that's from the top of the glass door, where the shell comes down a few inches. There's more room once you get stuff up in there, and stuff can be put in at an angle. I'd go get that measurement but I already sat back down and unpaused family guy, so that'll have to wait.

Ok @TacomaWorld here is the moment you have been waiting for....
We will be officially putting DECKED "for midsize trucks" systems ONLINE for sale today, Tuesday October 3, at around 10:30am MOUNTAIN TIME.

    A couple of notes:
    • WE WILL SELL OUT!
    • We will build more inventory as quickly as possible
    • We will sell inventory out to a ship by date of no later than 10/31/2017 initially. (So if you purchase today, it is possible that your system will take until 10/31/2017 to ship. Shipping is typically 7-14 days from time of order, but could be 7-14 days from as late as that date of 10/31/2017)

Pricing: Let's just get ahead of this...
Short bed Tacoma/Colorado/Canyon/Frontier: $1149.99 (free shipping incl)
Long bed Tacoma/Colorado/Canyon/Frontier: $1249.99 (free shipping incl)

Now, if you know our product and its current pricing you might be saying WTF? (Yes, this is more expensive than our other products!)

Before you bring a molotov cocktail over here for happy hour please read:
    • We are raising prices on all of our products on 12/04/2017 to this new level
    • The Tacoma product is actually as expensive to manufacture as our larger products (there's more HDPE = longer cycle time on the molding presses)
    • We have not raised our prices since we started in 2014 (and we have added significant amounts of $$$ improvements and not passed cost along)
    • We are introducing partial assembly with the Tacoma line of products (you will thank us, we're doing the crappy steps ourselves) and eventually all of our products will come partially assembled
    • If you want the full song and dance about why we are raising our prices go here

Is there any possible way to have a kick off sale for TW members who want to buy one? Like a code that's only posted here and good for a week for 5% off? Just an idea

I think I'm just going to have to wait on this and see some reviews first. Not that I don't trust your product, I've seen it before it's great, but I want to understand what I'm gaining for the loss in height. Will need to do some measurements and such with my shell.

Also my wallet needs to recover.
