I will be getting a group buy together here soon. You are very welcome to order before hand if you like but the group buy would save you money. Here is the link to my site: http://carled-lights.com/toyota-tacoma/

The projector lens will limit the reach depending on how its aimed, but the reach is very good. I can tell you with the High Beam bulb I was reflecting off sings that were 3/4 of a mile away though.

I think he's referring to how the LEDs are super bright for the first 30 feet then fade so much towards the cut off. On black roads you can see the lights reaching 80 feet or more out there but it just isn't very bright

With these LEDs they are bright and they reach out!

Own the night and get these lights!

Turns out the GoPro isn't good for capturing the lighting. The curved lens and maybe the focus point didn't work. Luckily I took a bit of video on the iPhone.

Like I said in my post above the GoPro footage didn't come out good :annoyed:but here is a short iPhone clip. Watch the beam in the brush and you'll see that it is nice and even and solid with no shake/jiggle. I'll go out tomorrow night with an actual camera and get some better video on hopefully a bumpier road. Sadly the county roads are better than the city roads and my buddy who works for the NPS won't "accidentally" forget to lock a gate to a fireroad for me.

Here is where I mounted the voltage/canbus boxes using 3M VST.

Inside the green circle is the actual unit. As you can see it is a tight fit for the low beam but take a deep breath and don't despair it will fit it just takes a bit of finesse.

These seem very, very bright. The cut-off looks good from the photos, but....have any of the testers felt they are blasting the side mirrors of cars in-front of them too much, like in urban areas?

I would love to get the lights if I get a new truck, but I don't want to get shot.

Nobody flashed me when oncoming and didn't seem like they were blasting side mirrors of those in front of me. Tomorrow I'll get my girlfriend to pull up in front of me and I'll take a pic from inside her car.

Thanks, to be honest it seems like the only potential downside to these, otherwise they look awesome. (Nice product, OP).

I like they have the 3K color temp option for fogs. Would be excellent to have an OEM HID look ~4300-5300K temp option as well.

From the pics the beams look a little high. Won't know until you put a car in front of the truck.

I know when I did my HID upgrade the cutoff was much sharper then these, and I had to adjust my beams down to clear the mirrors of the cars in front. Actually had one kid in a lowered Honda civic stop in front of me, let me pass, then got behind me and turned on his high beams on trying to blind me. Poor little civic, his lights didn't even clear my tailgate lol.

If you have to adjust your beam, please do another test drive and see if there is any jiggle. With mine, the jiggle manifested itself after the adjustment.

    Thanks for the review.

These look awesome. My stock lights suck. Thanks for the honest review, Toynado.

OP please update this page when you get the GB together. Also a Colorado discount would be cool! :D

Personally, if the low beams seem to be a bit much for urban driving, I will probably just get the Fogs and High Beams. Better to have the lumen smash when you really need it during bad weather and dark back roads.

As a previous owner of a low-slung sports car, I can't in good conscience be "that guy" with the low beams. No poo-ing on OP's thread! Just want to be self-aware and safe with a product with so many lumens.

So I'm a little confused. Individual bulbs for high and low beam? Doesn't the housing just have 1 headlight bulb that's a dual filament? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious. Btw I'm talking 2nd gen. Maybe 3rd is different?
