Goats are great. 40 plus years and still awesome

If you are referring to a late model GTO that Would be a turd.

Haha they can be fun, that is for sure. They have potential too.

The thing is they are ugly. And the owners tend to think they are either a true muscle car or a true sports car. They are neither.

My friend had one, after a ton of money sent to ERL it put down just shy of 600 rwhp and it was a fun ride. Suspension couldn't take it, engine had more in it but the cost to fix up the IRS kept the hp where it was.

Interior was actually pretty sweet, I liked the red in his. But the outside was fugly.

He traded it on a Ram. And traded that on a Vette. He loves the vette and I give him shit about the rear bumper that shudders.

My buddy's was N/A and sounded wicked when it was opened up. Some kind of raspy horrid sound cruising though.

    Um...it's a Prius. No mods.
Um...I think you missed the 3.5L Atkinson cycle engine that will actually be in the 2016. No more 4.0L. And if I want a V8, I'd get a full size.

    That's fair!

And if more people realized its a fast touring car I wouldn't dislike them nearly as much.

The look is love it or hate it for sure.

It beats the hell out of a Mustang haha

I wish...our 2002 Tundra is quite zippy and sporty with a V8. So I can only imagine what the lighter Tacoma would do with one. The 4runners got them, why can't Tacos

Yes, yes, yes or something..... Toyota really wussed out with the 3.5, it will be a great engine but I can get the same performance out any car based SUV..... blah blah blah...... They should have 2 V6s or a V6 and an V8.... sorry but if the 3.5 can get 24MPG why mess around with the 4????
So they should make a high MPG V6 and than a V6 with more power or a V8, the best of both.... The commuters and daily drivers can get good power and good mpg and the people that need or want more power would be happy to..... But most people, no matter want they say would get the bigger engine....

I'm sure the 4.6 with the 6 speed will slide right in and no R & D needed, no extra costs just an engine swap and it will get better MPG than the 4.0 and have a ton more power....
I don't want to buy a huge a Tundra just to pull a 5,000 lb trailer and I don't want to rev the crap out a 3.5 to do it..... The 4.6 would be great in the Tacoma don't see what the big deal is........ 327lbs at 3400 RPM and 310 hp at 5600 rpm, that is a "truck engine"......... High torque at low rpm is what a truck needs...... I don't thing anyone thought Toyota was going to smaller engine, very disappointing......

    But not going to happen.........

I'd love to have the 4.6L in the Tacoma. Seems like a perfect combo for a lightweight midsize truck. It won't improve tow capacity, but would improve tow ability. 310hp at 5600 rpm, 327 torque at 3400 rpm.

MPG's aren't all that great but the 4.6 was put into 5000 lb plus trucks and SUV's, the LX460 and the 2010+ Tundra. Maybe if Toyota can get their Corporate Average Fuel Economy up with other vehicles we'll be lucky enough to get the 4.6 in a Tacoma.

    No.
If I need the 8, I'll go full sized.
Can you imagine the price on a v8 Tacoma?
Buy full sized at that point.

I would however like to see a Tundra in a V6.

If Toyota thought they could sell a motor with less gas mileage but more power, they would just have upgraded the 4.0 or had a factory installed turbo option. I think most are like me. I am perfectly satisfied with everything about my off road six.....except the economy. To buy a v8 ? I would sooner move to the base Tundra with the same motor....for I bet, nearly the same price. I tow a lot and it is no fun towing much over 5000 lbs with a midsize truck. You start getting to a point where you need a v8, you also need a bigger truck, with better handling leverage. The extra WB and width makes all the difference in safety...BTW, .how did adding the v8 to the previous Colorado help sales ?
