That's the easy part if you already have a welding tank (argon works as well as nitrogen).

How many miles on your pros? On road or off road use? Seems ridiculous to have to rebuild these every 50K

Fox, who makes the TRD Pro shocks, specifically says they need rebuilt every 50k. Part of having a "race" style suspension. Remember these are internal bypass so it's not like your run of the mill shock.

I paid a little more than 700 for just my fronts to get rebuilt. That included shipping. So if you are getting all 4 for 1K, I'd say thats a deal.

Yes Sir, thats why I kept my old stock suspension. When I eventually send out my Fox's for rebuild I'll just swap in the bone stock Bilsteins that came on the truck so I can actually drive it. The truck is more likely to be down a week or more with shipping back and forth.

Bought the truck used with 70k miles and i don’t know if previous owner did a re-build. There was no signs of leaking, but one of the rears was blown though.
The PRO Fox’s are perfect for my needs and i dont see myself needing full blown KINGs/Elites/ICONs, so even a $1000 rebuild on these is a good value to me.

Good to know, thank you. I actually called 4wp and another off road specialty shop and quotes were similar. It is what it is.
