I did not cut them and tried to bend them but went off roading today and.... I am going to have to cut them. the pinch weld was rubbing on the sliders pretty bad and I could hear it inside the cab. on the street it sounds fine. but off road OMG noise galore. and not sure if its just me but front part of slider may have been rubbing on body of the cab.. not sure. I'm going to cut the pinch welds tomorrow and try to slide the sliders more toward the rear.

Also got some battle damage already and less than a week

I just got sliders put on a few days ago and noticed the legs of the sliders touching the pinch weld. I pretty much feel everything on the road and it's ridiculous. They say 1/4" space is good enough. How much do you have?

I just installed mine yesterday. Took a grinder with a flap disk and notched around where the support tubes pass the pinch weld. Easy to do and you cant see it!

I grinded down the pinch weld. And tested it in a little dirt parking lot. It made minimal noise. Only thing i noticed was the front of the slider is hitting my cab body and started to take paint off :sadviolin:. Temporary solution? I put 3m tape to use as a buffer.
But my next solution is to go get a metal spacer to shim the bottom of the slider to drop it down some.

@JDEMELLO do you think it is possible to send me some of those big metal washer plates used for the big holes of the side frame? Or do you know a place that would carry those metal plates? :fingerscrossed::bowdown:

I have the same issue with the ones I got installed this week. Mine is only on the driver side. It seems like the driver side slider is placed a little bit more toward the front of the truck compared to the passenger side. Is your's the same?

Looking at the pics in the original post it looks like the mounting holes are a little wide. Do you think it would be possible to loosen the bolts and pull the sliders toward the back a little?
