I've had my 12 dbl trd s 4x4 for 2 months & 2300 miles. At 600 miles I sold the lame ht's & put on grabber at2's. ZERO complaints. The truck is bad ass...just like all my other taco's...solid as a rock!

    I put gas in it...
I've had my 2012 4x4 DCSB TRD Off-Road for just over a month now. I had a 2010 Tundra before that, and a 2009 Taco before that one..

Things I like that stand out to me over the other trucks:
    - It came level!
    - The bluetooth handfree works AMAZINGLY well with my DroidX
    - Backup Camera now has a clearer, slightly larger image it seems, and it has lines to help guide you.

Things i don't like that stand out to me over the other trucks:
    - When i hit the break, it sounds like I stepped on a grape. Little "squish" sound every time lol.
    - No hood struts (tundra)
    - No EZ down tailgate (tundra)
    - 4WD switch still doesn't light up.

All in all though i love the truck. It tows great, a little sportier than the Tundra, ALOT better on gas and a whole lot easier to park than the Tundy :p

I'ma try to take a pic of it today since i've not done that yet :)

I've had my 2012 for about a month now and just a tad of 1,000 miles and love it, very comfortable and rides really well. This is my first Toyota truck as i have always been a Gm truck guy. Only complaint i have are a lot of the switches are not back-lit, but once you get used to where they are no big deal i guess. I hauled a bunch of pacers yesterday and it did really well, no noticeable sag or hitting of bump-stops like most complain about and i have the 3 leaf pack. Guess most are really loading these trucks up to experience those issues? I will be towing my S-10 to Carlisle all truck nats in August with this truck so i will see how it performs then, about a 340 miles trip.

I picked up mine late December and love it. I traded in a 4 door Silverado and it's a huge difference. Average 20 mpg. Tows well and handles a good amount in the bed (4 leaf). I have close to 7k miles on it and the only issue that I've ran into was the dash peeling (different thread).

Love mine, (2012 Dbl cab Sport) when im slowing down, i can feel the transmission dropping or banging, and a few times down hill, it got caught in a low gear and the rps when crazy? I just hope this isnt anything new to 2012, thats gonna lower the longevity that Toyotas are know for?

they said on or before the 11th (April), but seeing it's the 10th I'm not holding my breath :)

^^^ interesting that it came level, they may have gotten the hint that it makes a difference in ride height depending on where you locate heavy bits, like battery, gas tank, driver, etc- slightly firmer coil and a slightly thick leaf (on the driver's side) would do it

I'll have to measure mine when it comes in

Is that the mirror camera or the dash/navi/entune camera? I have the Entune and there are no guiding lines when backing up ...

Just curious who has a 2012 out there? Any issues, concerns so far?

I picked up a '12 double cab TRD Sport about three weeks ago. So far, love it. Started to noticed a few things I hadn't before. AC kicks on and drags the engine ever so slightly. Other vehicles I had the AC kills the engine...load <ching> when the compressor starts. I've also noticed if I back up a bit then head out the brakes seem to <click> wondering if that's just a systems check of sorts.

I took the radio antenna off and put an exact size bolt to cover the hole. This is so I don't get it torn off in the automated carwash. I usually never run the radio just XM and my iPod.

I did a fair amount of highway driving this weekend, put about 300 miles on it in heavy wind, up to about 7000 feet from 4200 and back and averaged 21mpg. I'm happy with that.

Starting to do some minor mods. Got some bike mounts installed and am ordering a few Rotopax items in the near future and a cargo mat.

The "chrome clad" covers are coming off at the next oil change. I've read that the Bridgestone Dueler HTs don't last very long. Seem to be heavy wear tires from what I've read and to "expect to replace them in two years."

    12Tac

Yepper..The Bridgestone tires do wear out quickly. I had a 2008 Tundra with the Bridgestone and I was surprised and how quick they were wearing down. My new 2011 Tacoma has the same tires, which I will replace with the Goodyear Trail. Luck to you

Had mine for almost 2 months and I LOVE IT!!! Hate the narrow-ass Dunlaps and steel wheels but everything else is beautiful. No complaints at all.

I have a set of Nittos on my last car. Those things are made of iron and I had a heavy car. My favorite tires were a set of Bridgestone A/T Revos but they lasted just a little longer than the BFGs.

Anyway, hoping to swap out wheels and tires ASAP!

my main problem is (and its even bigger now that i see how easy these cloth seats attract every bit of dirt to them!) is the no leather option.
i am still baffled that Toyota doesn't even let you choose this option at all on these trucks, seriously...... i didnt know that anything outside of Yaris/fit/aveos didn't offer leather in this day in age...or at least leatherette like VW for fucks sake.

outside of that , love the truck

I have had my 2012 Tacoma for about 6 months now. It is a very solid truck. No complaints about the truck itself at all.

The biggest complaint I do have is that this truck was advertised as having the TRD Supercharger as an available option. That appears to be a complete lie. TRD offers one excuse then another as to why it is not available yet and they keep saying that it will be out soon. I have been hearing that BS for 6 months.

There is one asshat on here that says since the installation instructions are available on the internet that it is available. A little nugget of information. Just because it is on the internet doesn't necessarily mean that it is true.
