Definitely winter here in Durango. Anyone have any suggestions on where to ride within 3-4-5 hours of here? Looking to explore more places. I mainly ride silverton/ouray area and Moab.

Mainly I'm looking for a little better weather so I can setup the Taco and RTT as base camp and ride all weekend.

Head south, New Mexico or Arizona, weather pending you may find riding in Farmington, or may need to head further south like Albuquerque, there is good riding around there. That would put you around a 3-4 hour drive if you were to go all the way to Albuquerque.

Awesome. Never been to Albuquerque, I'll definitely look up trails around there. I've ridden a little bit around Farmington/ Aztec and will most likely explore that area more as well.

I also want to head to Sedona but am going to need more than two days off to do that.

I'm using a dirtbike hitch hauler. Not ideal but after riding all day and spending almost every weekend last year sleeping on the ground, I think I'll keep the RTT around and deal with the hauler. Haha

Hitch haulers have always scared me (mostly because I've always owned big bikes).

You can find a little 3 rail trailer pretty cheap on CraigsList if you're patient. My trailer is going back to my Dad's ranch in Texas soon and I'll need to upgrade. The new SxS doesn't really fit and leaves no room for the CRF.

Need to resurrect this thread. Finally upgraded from the 16 year old 200, 2013 250 XC. Added headlight, brake light, and a lectron.

If anybody else like to ride during the week to avoid crowds I'm usually up for it.
