IMG_3150.jpg Aussiek2000, I love the mud Grappler and all the noise.

Thanks for the input and suggestions. Those two trucks look awesome.

The kit I have is the Rough Country 3/1 lift level kit. It does come with shocks for the rear and diff drop. I'm thinking maybe the rear shocks will help with the added stiffness using a block.

I ended up going with a set of 2016 TRD Pro wheels (17x7) and 265/70/17 Nitto Trail Grappler MT's.

I get a great aggressive looking tire and a little bit of road hum. The truck definitely feels higher. Wife didn't say anything about the road noise and it puts the kids to sleep.

I'm still deciding to put this lift on or not. I def don't like the raked look either.

Ha I'm almost wishing I wouldn't have lifted mine after seeing how that looks (that's stock height right) it looks great. But yeah u would deff get rid of the rake with the lift but beware of blocks. Everyone is different but I just don't like how it made my ride rougher.

If your trying to save money as I was , I would maybe just do the spacer up front and the Dakar Leafs in the back so u don't have the block. There not that pricey and I've heard great things. I'm thinking bout putting them on mine and just keeping the spacer

I got ya man. I also drive a 1972 Chevrolet C20, 3 on the tree, no AC, and no power steering. I don't think a block will make it any worse than my old truck lmao.

Yes my truck is still st stock ride height.

Hmmmmm but I sure love these new shoes.

Yeah then I think ur good haha, worst case scenario u just get used to it like I have and I figure if I really have an issue I can always put the right suspension on ha. Yeah I went with the trd pro wheels too but did the FNs cuz I was confused as to how the width of those ones would work out but looks like they work great!

I think you need to realize that there is a big difference between mud grapplers, which was in your post, and Trail grapplers, which you installed.

+1. Thats why i mentioned it in my previous post. Mud grapplers are more tire than 99% of people here need

Yeah two different animals between the two tires. One thing to realize is I really don't care about road noise or if my ride is a little rougher yada yada.

I had a question got some answers and some examples and I shared what direction I went.

And I'll probably post what I do to my suspension on this same thread.

Take a seat and chill folks.

I wasn't talking about noise or ride. The tire you initially asked about comes in a 33" by 12" as the smallest option. But your truck came out nice, and that's what matters.

For a second there I thought you removed the TRD badge on the bed because of the glare! I like the factory bed badge. But yeah that looks really good either way! Don't want to do a lift since mine is a lease, but these tires are rims are on my list!

I got ya man. I wouldn't if it were a lease either. I think the wheels and tire specs are in this post. I didn't have to cut or trim anything with these wheels n tires.

Sorry for the glare, I just now noticed it. I got the rims and tires at a very reasonable price too.

Where'd you get the tires? It looks like Discount Tire is the closest to me that has them and they are around $242 a tire.

I got them from Discount Tire. The manager at he store I purchased from matched pricing down to the T as far as online price matching.

I got mine for 214.99. I used tirebuyer.com for comparison.

The price matched them and did not charge me shipping. Same for the wheels, but those were obtained from a local Toyota dealership and they in turn sold them to me at Discount Tire.

Oh wow that's really good! I work for a Toyota dealer and best I can get on the wheels is $171 each plus tax.

Yeah? Man I paid about $6 more than what your cost is. I found them online and they matched the price and no shipping either.

Toyota sucks with their pricing on accessories. No room to discount them.
