    I'm new to tacomaworld, as I just bought a prerunner two weeks ago. It was the truck I wanted since I live in Atlanta and don't need 4wd. But I don't go around acting like I have an ultimate off-road machine, because I don't. 4wd vs. 2wd isn't even close when it comes to off-road capability. However, 4wd costs thousands more up-front, costs more to insure, and costs more in fuel. If I lived up north I would have bought a 4wd, but it would have been a waste down here. Buying a 4wd doesn't make you a man. Buying what you need makes you a man.

    I agree. I live in town, where the only dirt road is in the yard. I have a 4x4, so I have an excuse to go out and ride the trails and play. I wouldn't have it any other way. 4x4 all the way. You may not use it much, but it nice when you want/need to.
