Not me. 50 ish vehicles and never traded.

    And almost never buy new.

Odds are super low I'll buy another truck; likely keep this one a loooooong time. Unless its totalled or a family member cons me out of it :D

There would have to be some pretty major upgrades to justify pushing my payment schedule out another year or two, especially since COVID has cut my annual mileage down by over half.

Which bronco is being delayed, I just saw someone driving one yesterday. Is it a certain trim level or something ?

Do folks really like adaptive cruise control? I personally can't stand it. Even on the lowest setting it is too sensitive and brakes on the highway for no good reason.

Traded my '18 DCSB OR in on a '21 Pro in Lunar Rock. Paid slightly under MSRP and dealer gave me $4k more for the '18 than i paid for it 13 months (and 7k miles) ago.

Loving the Pro and well worth the trade to me.

You can change the sensitivity/braking distance on the adaptive cruise control.

Maybe I ought to give it another shot. Just couldn't stand when a car moving faster than me would move into my lane and ACC would slam on the brakes. Can't stand people who hit the brakes hard on the highway so ACC always really bothered me for that reason.

I agree that’s annoying, you’ve just gotta work the system, it isn’t perfect. When that kind of merge situation happens I either tap the gas or just turn CC off and back on after our speeds are matched. But my commute is 50 miles each way, almost all highway so it’s a great feature in my book.

As someone who recently bought a new 21 Trd Off road, I can say that the market is really tough at the moment. I pride myself in shopping around checking to see who will offer me what. I must have called 10 dealers, and walked into about 4 of them.

What I found most if not all dealers had the exact same trucks with slight minor variances, having said that even the big city dealers only had 3-5 on the lot. Getting anyone to come down in price was a nightmare. I reached out to a dealer located about 6 hours away (where I bought my first Taco) and what do ya know I had great luck with the salesman. He was certainly able to offer me a better price than anyone else, to the point that when I showed the other dealers the quote they told me to take the deal that they couldn't match it. Now I wasn't initially sold on the color so I kept shopping around, but eventually settled with the dealer 6 hours away. They sent a driver to deliver the truck for me at no cost on a Saturday.

Point being patience is key, it took me a week of hunting to find what I was looking for I called dealers in 3 different states.

The Bronco Sport (Ford Escape) is available now, the 2 door and 4 door real Broncos got delayed another 6 months. The First Edition ones were due to be rolling off the line in probably May 2021 with other models to follow. Ford sent out an email last month about supply chain issues causing more delays, at least 6 more months and some people who made reservations wouldn’t be getting model year 2022 trucks. That email is one reason why I got a Tacoma now. I’m guessing I won’t see my manual trans Bronco until sometime in 2022.

I second this. I contacted every dealer in AZ and finally found that the dealer in Flagstaff was willing to deal. Tucson had no inventory, Phoenix was very scarce and all dealers wanted to add $2K worth of extras. Nobody had more than 3 TRD OR 4x4 trucks in stock, and they were selling rapidly. My deal was $3K less than the next closest competitor, so worth the 4 hour drive.

Yeah, but I bought a pro, good luck getting a discount when there's only a handful, at best, in your area. Plus with trade, my finance amount was just about the same as my 2017 OR.

Hell I would have to take all that off plus I I really love the truck and its paid for!

Traded in 2 vehicles (2015 Lexus CT-200h + 21 SR5) for a TRD Pro. I daily drove an 09 Prius for 10 years including taking it to farms during summer as part of work. Got the CT as CPO, intending to replace the Prius. It was a fun to drive little underpowered hatch, kept it, and "traded in" the Prius for the SR5. The Prius was literally breaking apart, the dealer didn't even sell it (I checked). I thought I can maintain 2 vehicles and the CT really needed to be driven daily. I needed to simplify and combine utility + fun to drive. Sales guy with a dealer 3.5 hrs away said they will take the 2 vehicles for the TRD Pro they had just listed, 1 of 2 available in the state at that time. All vehicles were already paid for prior to trade. Enjoy the ride.

People keep ragging on guys who pay msrp. What kind of deal you get depends largely on where you live. Here in California your lucky to pay msrp as inventory is extremely low here and demand is high.
