Oh yeah they ripped you off. And 4 hours to swap them? More like an hour with everything already apart. Dude you better take to Yelp reviews and anywhere else that you can. This surely isn’t the first time this happened and they know the difference

Wait until after everything is fixed and then hit 'em with a review on Yelp, Google, and a complaint to the BBB

Lol...I was definitely pissed last night. I'm just glad it's getting fixed without argument. I'm gonna try to relax until this is all taken care of.

I did think the $480 labor was reasonable, though. 1 hour per control arm. Another shop wanted $400 just for the lowers (which they quoted at $380/piece for aftermarket OEM equivalent parts).

At any rate, I need to find a way to do this kind of stuff myself in the future. I could probably do it behind the warehouse at my work. I just didn't want to attempt this project on a weekend and run into a problem and be stuck without a vehicle.

Shit like this is why I do all fluids and simple crap myself to make sure it's done right.

Like one of those stores where everything seems to be on sale 24/7, 365 days a year...from an already marked up original price.

Also, doesn't appear like they applied any touch-up paint or anything to the area where they had to bend/mangle the sheet metal of the inner wheel/fender well(s) in order to remove/install the UCA bolt(s). Might seem trivial to some folks, but over time with rust, "big things have small beginnings."

Sounds like one of those typical Jeep shops who deal primarily with yuppies in the suburbs and over charge them thousands of dollars to install the "Jeep Bro / Chick Kit" (i.e. low profile mud tires on blinged-out rims, spacer/block lifts, etc.). They have rave reviews because the owners don't have a clue and just see the shiny surface level end result.
