why 1st gen>2nd?

I owned an 89 pre Tacoma, 03 and current 15 Tacoma. Favorite was the 89, The 15 2nd Gen definitely has more power and more comfortable than my 03 1st Gen. All great trucks.

 

1st gen 9 mil Miller.

Depends on what you want from the truck

1st gen = simpler, smaller, better vision over the hood, same interior bed dimensions (actually slightly larger) than second/third gen, also tinnier, far less finishes, feels like a 90’s truck

2nd gen = more power, more robust body/interior, bigger cabin/less cramped, better amenities

Both have their inherent Toyota traits = reliable, excellent off road characteristic’s especially when modified, huge aftermarket (though 1st gen is diminishing in favor or 2nd/3rd gen), just plain badass/cool factor

 

If I could only have 1 vehicle it would be a 2nd or 3rd gen. However I am blessed and have a Chevy 2500 for big truck stuff. Therefore my 1st gen is the shit due to its smaller size.

 

I've owned both and would love to have my 1st gen back.

 

This!! The first gens look awesome. I like the 13-15 model second gens but the others are ugly. I prefer mini trucks yet I have a 3rd gen. If I could find a regular cab 1st gen that was solid I’d get it.
