Weird.. had my 5k service and it didn't include an oil change. They won't be doing it until 10k miles!

non-synthetic 5k unless you offroad or tow regularly then 3k (oil filter too)
synthetic 10-15k with 5k filter changes and top off
some synthetics (amsoil) can go 20-25k with 5k filter changes and top off

all backed by various oil analysis’ on different models of vehicles on new and old engines from bobistheoilguy website…argue if you want but it’s scientifically proven

I had to replace a trans hose as one got damaged after a deer hit. I have 80k on my ‘17 offroad 4x4 and the fluid was dark enough to warrant a change…ws does NOT last 100k!!! 80 is max!! numerous members have confirmed the same as I found on my truck…ALL my miles are interstate too

I called 20 different salvage/wrecker yards from tyler tx to shreveport and only ONE could get me my transmission and they had to ship it from one of their other stores. EVERY one of them said "I WISH we had tacomas!" NONE of them had tacomas...the only way they do get them is if they're wrecked which is how they had the one I am getting my transmission from...but usually those get snatched up...by who I don't know...but it seems so rare you just can't find them.

I ONLY buy toyota/lexus or honda/acura if I want reliability...300k is NOTHING for them. Bought a 94 ls400 years ago with 300k, at 315k the tranny went out, $1900 later and I was good to go for another 300k...engine was in great shape and never a hint of an issue. an accident took that car though :(

No, you're claiming I'm wrong, back up your remark or delete your post...simple as that. If you can prove me wrong I'll admit it, otherwise, prove your claim...I can prove mine...can you?

dude...what's your problem? And yes I'm SERIOUSLY curious about your claim. Keep in mind YOU attacked me, I simply requested you to clarify. Look if I said something wrong I'm open to discussion and education, which is what I asked you, but all you're doing is posting memes which is extremely annoying and not productive or beneficial to the forum. You keep claiming I'm wrong without backing up your remarks...and you're calling ME childish?

    really? Are YOU serious?

You posted the "oh your serious, let me laugh harder" meme regarding my post about mileage change intervals...so yes you DID make a claim...maybe you just don't understand what meme's mean? Guess that's possible...

Dude, I'm not ranting, I'm simply asking what was so comical about my mileage post regarding oil changes...for the benefit of anyone who sees it, I don't want to give bad info and you clearly think I was...but based on your actions it's clear you have NO idea what you're talking about.

You aren't contributing to the forum with your behavior...you seem to just be trolling...all right then. I'll stop feeding

Did 5k oil changes on my Supercharged '04 Tacoma for a while and then switched to Mobil1 synthetic every 15k, didn't burn an ounce oil at 245k hard miles.

Had a roommate once with an old ass Dakota who never changed the oil...ever...just added oil when it was low. Had over 300k miles on it.

Unfortunately it's not the motor that breaks these days, it's all the other stuff.
