At first I didn't even want a Tacoma, I had a 4Runner and went to get the oil changed, started looking at the 4Runners and like them. Couldn't afford the one I wanted so the dealer suggested a Tacoma. I compared and ended up buying the Tacoma. Since the day I drove it home I havent regretted it. It is awsome towing the boat and quads. If stuff gets wet or dirty boating or riding the quads I can put all of it in the bed, shut the lid and not worry about it till I get home. The back seats fold down flat which is great for the dogs. I can take my bed cover off and use it to go get firewood which I do alot. Overall I wouldn't be driving anything other than a Toyota Tacoma.

It was pretty much all of the above for me. I had a Ford Focus before this truck. Great little car. Bought it when I first joined the Air Force. Had it for a little over four years. Got through pretty much everything I put it through. Then I got stationed in Alaska. I tried to get to a pretty back woods ski resort one day and it couldn't make it up the hill. Bought the truck two weeks later.

Well, because a 6 foot hotdog suit needs a truck bed. Lsocoee doesn't tolerate wrinkles caused by the backseat of a Honda Civic.

I've always been a truck guy too. I can remember going back as far as 8th grade thinking I want a truck instead of a car. I had an SUV for 3 1/2 years and jumped at the chance to get back into a truck. Thus now I have my Tacoma!

the first reason was surfing... its just easier to lug around boards and theyre big and strong so thats why my parents got me a truck... and they know that toyotas last forever so thats how i got the taco but i have a feeling that if i never joined this site my truck would be bone stock right now and i wouldnt be taking fabrication, welding, and auto classes

I plan on getting a boat this coming summer, so I needed something to tow and the Impala SS I previously had didn't really fit that bill. Decided I'd rather have a pick up rather than an SUV so I can easily throw stuff like crab pots, etc. in the back. Also the 4wd will be handy for winter.

I got a truck again in '95 after my wife got pissed at me hauling leaves, brush, and "stuff" in the cargo area of my '85 4-Runner! Made it really tough to see when you opened the windows and cracked the tail window!
